Story
Toffee is a 3.5–4-month-old, 20lb puppy, who’s all legs, sweetness, and curiosity. She’s a fun, gentle girl with a naturally shy side, but her confidence grows more each day as she learns about the world around her. She’s currently thriving in a busy foster home with two female resident dogs, three cats, and two teenagers ... she’s handling the everyday chaos beautifully. Toffee is doing great with both house-training and crate-training, and she absolutely loves playing with other dogs. Because Toffee takes cues from confident pups, she will do best in a home with a friendly, well-adjusted dog companion who can help show her the ropes. She’s still learning polite manners with cats (she’s more playful than they prefer), but she’s eager to please and making steady progress with guidance. Toffee is a loving, thoughtful puppy who will blossom in a patient home that can continue building her confidence and helping her shine. Fostered in Evans, GA Available for adoption throughout much of the U.S. via our transport program Adoption Inquiry Form (copy and paste into browser) https://form.jotform.com/211295763938164

Story
Socialization: Rivian is another one of our sweet pointer puppies at the Rescue Ranch! She takes a little longer to warm up, but once she does, she is a wonderful snuggler! She is friendly with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. Training: We are just starting to work on some training with the girls at the ranch. All of the puppies are power chewers, and need kong or other strong toys. They enjoy chewing on ropes as well. House training, jumping and counter surfing are a work in progress, but their litter mates in homes have learned and caught on very quickly. Rivian needs some work on her recall. Activity requirements: These puppies are active, but mind games do help to wear them out. Rivian would prefer a fenced yard, but daily long walks would also work well for her. Leash training is a work in progress and our staff at the ranch is working with them on leash walking. Fence requirements: Some sort of running should be available to the puppies daily. Physical fences are preferred, but they can likely be trained to an invisible fence. Personality: Rivian and sweet and snuggly and needs a bit of time to warm up. She is very playful and loves other dogs. She may need a slow intro to any dogs already in the home. Health history: Kia is a healthy puppy, she is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly heartworm prevention. Her next leish test will be due in November 2026. This dog originates from Greece where Leishmaniasis is endemic. They tested negative before coming to the USA, but the parasite can remain dormant in the system for many years, so potential adopters must be willing to commit to annual testing for the next 7 years. Typically, the test needs to be sent to a special lab, but any regular vet can draw the blood and send it to the lab. The cost of the test seems to vary widely by area, but is approximately $150-$250. or if your vet is willing to send the test to a veterinary college lab, cost can be as low as $80. Foster comments: Rivian is an adorable and beautiful pointer puppy. She is very clever is always the suspicious one when it comes to going into the kennel at night! Any family would be lucky to have this beautiful girl! Foster location: Kalamazoo, MI Guardian Angels: Rivian is waiting for her Guardian Angel! Story
Socialization: Mercedes can be shy when meeting new people, but she warms up once she feels at ease. She does well with other dogs and loves her littermate Benz and the other dogs in her foster home. There is a cat that she hasn’t interacted much with but she could probably live with a cat or cats who were used to dogs. Training: Mercedes is good in the house and is crated when foster mom is gone and overnight. She is good in her crate. She can chew things, so foster mom supervises her and her brother Benz since at 10.5 mos they can still get into mischief. She comes when called and overall is a very good girl. Activity requirements: Mercedes and her brother Benz like going on walks together. They are both still shy but have made great strides in confidence while out walking. She loves to play in the yard and runs with her brother and also likes to retrieve a tennis ball-she won’t usually bring it back but loves to chase it. Between a daily walk and running /playing in the yard she gets enough exercise. Fence requirements: A fenced yard is ideal but while it would be easier to have a fenced yard, she could go to a home that can provide lots of exercise without a fenced yard in other ways. An invisible fence may also be an option for her. Personality: Mercedes is a very sweet dog who does love cuddling and attention. She loves chewing on her bone and hanging out in the evening. She is great in that she’s active but once she’s exercised, she’s calm and happy to be wherever her human is. She is a playful and social dog but she is initially shy until she feels comfortable. Health history:  She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly heartworm prevention. She's a very healthy dog with no medical issues. Her next leishmaniasis test is due in November, 2026. This dog originates from Greece where Leishmaniasis is endemic. They tested negative before coming to the USA, but the parasite can remain dormant in the system for many years, so potential adopters must be willing to commit to annual testing for the next 7 years. Foster comments: An ideal home for Mercedes will be one that can give her lots of love and appreciate her beauty and wonderful personality! Foster location: Durham, NC ##2580202##

Story
Socialization: Benz is shy when meeting new people and dogs, but has warmed up quickly once he feels comfortable. He will need to adjust to a new living situation, so his new home will have to be patient and give him lots of love. Benz can be a little dominant with some dogs and I think he is a little fearful. He’s young and learning how to interact and play. He’s 1 of 9 dogs in his foster home and does well with all of them. He has appeared overly interested in the cat, so he might chase a cat but if a cat was used to dogs it might work with some training. To be safe I’d say no cats but he’s co-existed with a foster home that had a cat for a month and the cat does disappear when she doesn’t want to be bothered. Training: Benz knows his name and comes when called He’s good in house but I supervise him because he’s still a pup and may chew woodwork, so I watch him. He’s good in a crate and stays there when foster mom is gone and overnight. He may try to countersurf so he's still learning to keep his paws on the ground. Activity requirements: He loves walks and running/playing in yard with sister Mercedes. Between the walks and play with other dogs, he gets plenty of exercise. He likes to chase balls. Fence requirements: A fence would be ideal but if a home was committed to exercising him via leash walks it could work as well. An invisible fence may also be a good option for him. Personality: Benz is a very nice boy! He has steadily gained confidence in foster home. He does love attention and is playful and also cuddly. Health history: He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly heartworm prevention. His next leish test is due in November 2026. He has no known health issues. This dog originates from Greece where Leishmaniasis is endemic. They tested negative before coming to the USA, but the parasite can remain dormant in the system for many years, so potential adopters must be willing to commit to annual testing for the next 7 years. Story
Socialization: Kia is a sweet pup that is in our Rescue Ranch with her 3 sisters. She warms up quickly and is well socialized. Kia is playful and loves other dogs. She can guard her toys, but with time when she learns what is hers, I believe that will diminish. Cats and kids are unknown. Crating is needed for now for their own safety. Activity requirements: These puppies are active, but mind games do help to wear them out. They would prefer a fenced yard, but daily long walks would also work well for them. She enjoys play with other dogs, but can also be content chewing on a bone by herself.
