Four years ago, my sister Blair and I were found wandering the neighborhood, just two sweet black-and-white pups looking for somewhere safe to belong. Meet Millie! She came from a house that could no longer keep her inside due to the other household dog being aggressive to her. She was living in the back porch in the heat with very little food when her owner asked me to take her. I thought I had a home for her in a friend, but at the last minute, they backed out. I do not have the time or space for a dog in my life right now, but if I did, she would be the dog I’d want. She’s sweet, playful, cuddly, and so goofy. She would be great with a high energy family with kids to play with.

Folks say I’ll grow up to be about 40 pounds—just the right size for curling up on the couch and still being easy to scoop up when I get the zoomies. My story started on a property with a bunch of unfixed adult dogs. It wasn’t an easy beginning. Almost all of my littermates didn’t make it—they were lost to the heat and parasites. Somehow I held on. I’m the one who made it out. And now? I’m happy. Really happy. Healthy, full of energy, and so excited for what’s next. I’m the kind of dog who greets every day like it’s the best one yet. I love people, I love other dogs, and I especially love water. Puddles, sprinklers, baths, lakes… if it’s water, I’m in it. You’ll probably catch me standing in the middle of a rainstorm with a goofy grin on my face like I just won the lottery. I’m super sweet and easygoing. I get along with just about everybody I meet and I’m happiest when I’m part of the pack—whether that pack is two-legged, four-legged, or both. I don’t do drama; I do belly rubs, silly faces, and long naps after playtime. Life’s pretty simple for me right now: eat, play, splash, snuggle, repeat. I’m looking for a forever family who wants a happy, affectionate buddy to share the good times with. Someone who’ll give me the safe, loving home I was meant to have.
