Story
She was adopted from the Omaha shelter August of 2023 by a family member. We took her in and have nursed her back to health. She has anxiety, claustrophobia, and separation anxiety. She has a sweet personality ideal to be a therapy dog one day if trained. We are currently looking to put her on an anti-anxiety medication. We have kept her as long as we can and are hoping to rehome her, but will need to put her down if we can't find anyone.

Story
Meet Trudy! I am full of life and energy. Pointers are known for their wonderful use of their nose to find birds and prey. I love to use my nose so games of hiding food or scented objects would be great fun. I am learning some basic skills to start obedience training and already know how to sit. Having an experienced owner that understands my breed would best. Stop in soon to meet me. I am micro chipped just like all my HPC friends.

Story
Meet Weston! I am an active pointer pup that will need an active life. I am smart and eager to learn but can be stubborn. An owner that understands that pointers and their need to be on the go will be important. Regular exercise or hunting will be important to keeping my mind and body active. I am a great age for training. Stop in soon to meet me. I am micro chipped.

Story
Jackson is a joy to be around as he blossoms into the happy dog he was always meant to be! He thoroughly enjoys engaging with other playful dogs & having their company, but he would also do great getting all the attention as a single dog. Jackson has lovely manners and is house trained. Noisy or active young kids would likely scare him as he isn't used to their energy. Jackson was born with a paw/ankle deformity, but he doesn't let it slow him down and doesn't seem to be causing him any pain. We have started him on joint supplements to be sure he is getting some added nutrition. He will need to have a secure fenced yard as he is not familiar with leash walking and deserves to have free reign to romp, sniff & frolic. Jackson came into rescue after the breeder retired & surrendered his remaining dogs. He had only known life inside a chain link dog run with a cement floor. He is absolutely loving his freedom now and his fun personality is emerging! Jackson is an English Pointer who was born approximately 8-5-18 and weighs 55 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
