Story
Say hello to Reaux, a Pointer mix born July 2020. This cutie is looking for her very own home. Reaux loves to be the center of attention and when you are as cute as her, who can blame her? She loves to play outside chasing squirrels, so she would do best in a home with a fenced yard. She LOVES to have all the attention to herself, so she needs to be the only dog in the home. She does not get along with cats. She would enjoy kids that will play with her and help her try to catch those darn squirrels. Overall, Reaux is a very loving girl and cannot wait to find a home that is a perfect match for her! Reaux is kennel trained, will also sleep in dog bed on floor.  She does pretty good on walks, just a little anxious.  Good with bigger kids and adults, needs no other animals in home.   Only really barks to alert…to go inside, outside and while playing with us.   The suggested adoption donation for Reaux is $300. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.  Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page, Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##887382##

Story
Hi! My name is Danica and I am a 2 year old (b. 2022) Pointer mix! I am a very cute girl who was rescued from my hometown in Houston, Texas. I only had minutes to spare when I was rescued, at risk of being euthanized any moment. I used to be a stray and wandered the streets of Houston, causing me to be positive for heartworm and being a mom to multiple puppy litters. But since being adopted, I was on meds (but to me they just taste like treats) to help me with my heartworm and I now feel like a new woman! I love being with my person, my foster mom calls me a Velcro Dog. I get a little nervous when apart from my person, so ideally I would love to live with someone who is home rather often and will want my company all day every day. I am a super sweet girl who just loves to lounge around with others and occasionally play with my foster brother. I am not a fan of being kenneled, but I am house trained. Please bring me into your loving home and you will receive all the love. The suggested adoption donation for Danica is $250, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
If you've ever dreamed of having your own fetch partner, this puppy is ready to apply for the position. This active, playful pup is happiest when he has something to do, whether that's chasing a ball, exploring the backyard, supervising neighborhood activities from the deck, or finding the perfect stick to carry around. He's curious about the world and loves being part of whatever is happening. Fetch is quickly becoming one of his favorite games, and he's always ready for another round. When he's not busy retrieving tennis balls, you'll often find him chewing on a toy, a stick, or a log as he works his way through the teething stage of puppyhood. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and peacefully ignores cats. While he hasn't been tested with children yet, he has shown himself to be a friendly, social puppy who enjoys making new friends. This smart boy is currently working on house training and kennel training. He's learning that his kennel is a pretty great place, especially when treats are involved, and he's making steady progress with his puppy manners. Like any young dog, he'll need continued guidance, consistency, and plenty of opportunities to burn off energy. In return, you'll get a playful companion who's always ready for the next adventure. I’m a busy puppy who loves to explore! A home with a fenced yard is best for me so we can focus on my training in a quiet, controlled space before I'm ready to tackle the big, busy world on neighborhood leash walks. Whether it's a game of fetch, a backyard exploration mission, or simply hanging out with his people, this pup is all in. Fox is an English Pointer/Retriever mix who was was born approximately 2-6-26. He is neutered, age-appropriate vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and given a 3-month dose flea/tick preventation. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. Story
This affectionate, playful boy is happiest when he's surrounded by friends—whether that's wrestling with his sister in the yard, playing with the resident dog, or hanging out with his favorite humans. Fonzie has never met a stranger and approaches life with a friendly, easygoing attitude that makes him a joy to have around. When the excitement winds down, Fonzie is just as happy relaxing in the shade next to his foster mom, chewing on a favorite toy, or curling up beside his person for a nap. He loves being part of the family and likes to keep his humans close. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and everyone he's met so far. He especially adores his human toddler foster sister and has already been learning how to be gentle around children. He's a smart pup who is picking up new skills quickly and already knows commands like "sit" and "kennel" (especially when treats are involved). He is currently crate trained and working on house training. Like any young puppy, he'll need continued guidance and consistency as he learns the ropes, but he's eager to please and loves learning. Fonzie is the kind of dog who can spend the afternoon wrestling in the yard and the evening curled up right beside you. He LOVES his puppy pool and would relish in a home where he can have one in the back yard, along with a fence to keep his playtime safe. Cool, friendly, and full of heart—Fonzie is ready to make himself at home. 🏡 The Ideal Furever Home Fonzie would thrive with an active family that enjoys including their dog in everyday life. He would love a canine playmate but would also be happy as the center of attention. He would love a pool and fenced yard so he can enjoy a place to run, explore, and burn off some puppy energy. Fonzie is an English Pointer/Retriever mix who was was born approximately 2-6-26. He is neutered, age-appropriate vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and given a 3-month dose flea/tick preventation. Story
Hi, I'm Molly! I'm an active and playful puppy who is all about fun! I absolutely love to romp in the yard and enjoy playing and wrestling with other dogs; in fact, I'd make a great companion for your current pup. When I first meet new people or arrive in a new place, I can be a little shy and cautious. But don't worry, with just a little gentle encouragement, cuddles, and treats, I warm up quickly and come right out of my shell. I'm also super smart and a quick learner! I've already mastered basic commands like "sit" and "kennel" and am eager to learn more. Most of all, I'm a lover—I just want to be near my people. I'd love nothing more than to crawl up in your lap for a snuggle, making me the perfect companion for relaxing on the couch after a long day of play. I’m a busy puppy who loves to explore, so a home with a fenced yard is best for me so we can focus on my training in a quiet, controlled space before I'm ready to tackle the big, busy world on neighborhood leash walks. Molly is a female English Pointer/All-American Rescue mix (our best guess of breed) who was was born approximately 2-6-26. She is spayed, age-appropriate vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, given flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. Story
Lexie is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she can be close to her people. If you're looking for a dog that wants to be part of everything you do, Lexie may be your perfect match. Lexie loves kids and forms strong bonds with her family. She can be a little cautious when meeting new people, preferring to observe and assess the situation before jumping in. Give her a little time, though, and her sweet personality begins to shine through. Once you're in her circle, she wants to be wherever you are. Whether you're watching television, working from home, heading out for an adventure, or simply relaxing on the couch, Lexie is happiest when she can tag along. She is the kind of dog who thrives on companionship and being included in everyday life. Like any self respecting GSP, Lexie is fascinated by birds and loves patrolling the backyard. She enjoys running around the yard and keeping an eye on everything happening outdoors. While she happily joins other dogs for a lap around the yard, she is much more interested in spending time with her people than playing with canine companions. In fact, Lexie would secretly love to be the center of someone's world. She would be happiest as an only dog where she can soak up all the attention and affection for herself. That said, she can successfully coexist with a calm, respectful, easy-going dog. Lexie can be a little possessive of her favorite people, so she will do best with adopters who are comfortable setting clear boundaries and reminding her that sharing is part of being a good family member. Lexie is crate trained and knows several commands, including sit, wait, fetch, and drop it. She is smart, eager to be involved, and always ready to accompany her favorite people on their next adventure. She can also be a little mischievous at times and has discovered that counters and tables occasionally contain treasures worth investigating. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will follow you from room to room, keep you company throughout the day, and happily snuggle up beside you at night, Lexie is ready to meet you.
