Story
Say hello to Reaux, a Pointer mix born July 2020. This cutie is looking for her very own home. Reaux loves to be the center of attention and when you are as cute as her, who can blame her? She loves to play outside chasing squirrels, so she would do best in a home with a fenced yard. She LOVES to have all the attention to herself, so she needs to be the only dog in the home. She does not get along with cats. She would enjoy kids that will play with her and help her try to catch those darn squirrels. Overall, Reaux is a very loving girl and cannot wait to find a home that is a perfect match for her! Reaux is kennel trained, will also sleep in dog bed on floor.  She does pretty good on walks, just a little anxious.  Good with bigger kids and adults, needs no other animals in home.   Only really barks to alert…to go inside, outside and while playing with us.   The suggested adoption donation for Reaux is $300. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.  Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page, Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##887382##

Story
Hi! My name is Danica and I am a 2 year old (b. 2022) Pointer mix! I am a very cute girl who was rescued from my hometown in Houston, Texas. I only had minutes to spare when I was rescued, at risk of being euthanized any moment. I used to be a stray and wandered the streets of Houston, causing me to be positive for heartworm and being a mom to multiple puppy litters. But since being adopted, I was on meds (but to me they just taste like treats) to help me with my heartworm and I now feel like a new woman! I love being with my person, my foster mom calls me a Velcro Dog. I get a little nervous when apart from my person, so ideally I would love to live with someone who is home rather often and will want my company all day every day. I am a super sweet girl who just loves to lounge around with others and occasionally play with my foster brother. I am not a fan of being kenneled, but I am house trained. Please bring me into your loving home and you will receive all the love. The suggested adoption donation for Danica is $250, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Sid is a confident, happy-go-lucky puppy who wants to be part of everything you’re doing. More outgoing than his brother, this curious little guy is always checking in, exploring, and making sure his people—especially his tiny human foster sister—are doing just fine. He’s wonderful with kids, including a 1-year-old, offering gentle kisses and knowing when to move on. If she makes a sound, Sid is the first one there to investigate like the good little guardian he is. Sid loves toys and is often proudly carrying around a ball or his latest treasure. He’s playful, active, and full of puppy energy—but just as happy to crash for a well-earned nap after a good play session. He gets along great with other dogs and does an excellent job reading their cues, knowing when to engage and when to give space (though he definitely prefers when they choose to play!). He’s doing fantastic with housetraining, consistently going potty outside and even using puppy pads as he continues learning. Sid is smart, eager, and already showing how quickly he picks things up. He follows his foster mom everywhere, making him the ultimate little companion for someone who wants a loyal “shadow dog” with a fun, playful side. With his constantly wagging tail, affectionate personality, and natural confidence, Sid is going to make an incredible addition to just about any loving home. ✨ Three Things You Must Know About Sid: He’s great with kids, gentle, attentive, and naturally nurturing. He’s social and smart, doing well with dogs and excelling in housetraining. Sid would be happiest with a fenced yard to safely romp in as he grows. Meet the Lucky Litter—a group of adorable, happy-go-lucky pups who are getting ready to find their forever homes! These little charmers are being raised in loving foster homes where they’re busy learning all the important puppy basics—like playing nicely, exploring the world, and discovering just how great humans can be. Like all puppies, they are full of curiosity, personality, and just the right amount of mischief. They’re learning about toys, routines, and how to be the best companions, and each one is already starting to show their own unique quirks and favorites. Whether it’s playtime, cuddle time, or snack time, these pups are all in. They will be ready for adoption once they’ve been spayed/neutered, and their foster families are working hard to make sure they’re set up for success. Their future families should be ready for all things puppy—training, patience, laughter, and lots of love. If you’re looking to add a little luck (and a lot of joy) to your life, one of these pups might be your perfect match. Sid is a male English Pointer/All-American Rescue mix (our best guess of breed) who was was born approximately 2-6-26. He is neutered, age-appropriate vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, given flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily.
