Story
Pepper came from a very difficult situation, was found as a young pup and was in a situation where she didn't get the attention she so deserved. She has blossomed into a terrific pup. She is very smart and enjoys tracking animals. Her breed drives her to bark and be heard and howl, but she is not obnoxious. She loves to play outdoors, but will come in to eat and sleep and interact with the family. She protects her sister as she was also found all alone as well. She wears a collar and will allow you to put a leash on, but still training on going for a walk. She loves balls, she will run and fetch so now her foster is working on her returning the balls!! She’s a very good size, very healthy and a lot of fun. Still shy at times and unsure of strangers and kids but with patience, she will be your forever friend! Located in North Texas. Transport available and included in fee

Story
Poppy has come so far with her socialization. She is no longer shy and scared. She is a willing participant in everything and with everyone in the family. Her energy has mellowed and she is a smart, active and loving dog. She is a big lap dog, her favorite thing to do is snuggle. She gets along with all dogs and her best friend is a cat. She is very clever, and tracks and hunts, but she is very afraid of loud noises and loud engines. Hunting is probably not the job for her. Located in North Texas, Transport availble and fee included

Story
Meet Scout! Scout is a fun-loving, high-energy 5-month-old pup who lost his home through no fault of his own and is ready to start his next adventure with you! At around 35 pounds already, this handsome guy is expected to grow into a large dog. With his classic hound good looks, Scout is likely a pointer mix, which means long legs, a curious nose, and lots of enthusiasm for life.Scout loves being part of the action and does well with other dogs and kids. He enjoys car rides, is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained, and already knows sit, lay down, kennel (cage), and nopretty impressive for such a young pup!Scout prefers not to be left alone for long periods and will do best with an active family who can keep him busy and engaged. Because of his energy level and future size, apartment living isnt the best fit. A yard, daily exercise, and plenty of sniffy walks will keep this happy hound smiling.Scout is ready to grow up alongside a family who can match his playful spirit and love for adventure.Apply at: www.caninecollective.org

Story
Meet ClaireClaire is a beautiful hound / pointertype mix weighing about 76 pounds and estimated to be around a year old. While she has a tall, leggy frame, shes best described as large but not giant built more like a graceful, athletic hound than a bulky dog. This sweet, fun-loving girl has a personality that makes people smile. Volunteers say shes like the lovable bloodhound from Lady and the Tramp always sniffing everything, with a soft, floppy mouth that seems to bounce along as she explores the world. Claire was so curious and enthusiastic during her photo shoot that she kept moving, making pictures a bit of a challenge (because there was just too much to see and smell!).Despite her size, Claire does quite well on leash, especially considering how new so much of the world still is to her. She was a little unsure about stairs at first, but with gentle encouragement she figured them out. Shed likely never been on a couch before either once she realized it was okay, she climbed up and settled in, showing her sweet, affectionate side.Claire is curious, gentle, and ready to learn a dog who will thrive with patient guidance, love, and plenty of opportunities to explore. Shes looking for a home where she can sniff, snooze, and be adored.

No ·       Location: Portage, MI ·       Energy level (high/med/low)? High   Have you made some resolutions to get more walks in?  Or have more joy in your life?  Minka will guarantee your success!  This young German Shorthaired Pointer mix is a bounding ball of life, always ready to play fetch, run around outside, or try to squeeze herself into your lap.    Minka has been diagnosed with Wobbler Syndrome, a neurological problem affecting the spinal cord.  In the case of Minka, her back legs have a funny gait and she can lose her balance easily when she gets excited.  She should always be walked on a harness instead of just her collar.  Minka is not a fan of stairs – she needs a little help going up them and refuses to go down (but is happy to be carried down). While in her foster home, Minka will continue to be evaluated to make sure she is in no pain and to set up a protocol for managing her syndrome.   But Minka is not letting her diagnosis get to her!  She is a high-energy dog always ready to go out for a walk or a spin in the backyard.  Minka’s favorite toys are anything ball-shaped – she loves to make balls bounce by pawing at them on the ground.  But when it’s time to take a break, she wants to snuggle right up with her people.  Minka is fearful at first and will bark until she knows everything is safe.  She is quick to warm up to people – especially if she’s looking for someone to toss a ball for her.  Minka is looking for a family who can give her the support she needs to continue to thrive.  She loves routine and attention, and she will need some time to settle in and be comfortable.  Minka will return all attention and love threefold – take some time to meet this girl and see it for yourself! ##2627511##

Ollie is a pure breed GSP He’s 3 years old , house trained and crate trained He is very energetic and needs plenty of time to run and play. He needs lots of stimulation. Ollie is great with other dogs and is okay around kids. We have another dog that is having health issues and Ollie stresses our other dog out with the high energy he has. Our jobs and life style has changed and we can’t give him everything he needs.
