Hi, I'm Feta! There’s a quiet kind of sweetness here, the kind that doesn’t rush forward but slowly settles in once trust is earned. I take my time when meeting new people, preferring to observe and understand my surroundings before I fully open up. Once I feel safe, that shy distance fades and I become a very affectionate boy who truly enjoys being close to my people and soaking up their love.
I’m a 1 year old Australian Shepherd and American Bulldog mix, full of curiosity, energy, and a growing confidence that is being shaped through continued training and guidance. I’m smart, eager to learn, and doing my best work when I have structure and someone who understands how to bring out my potential in a calm and consistent way. Adventure is one of my favorite things. Walks, exploring, and discovering new environments make me come alive in a happy, focused way. I love having a job to do, even if that job is just experiencing the world alongside my person.
With other dogs, I do really well in play groups here. I enjoy social time, I can be playful, and I like being part of the group energy! That said, I would do best as the only pet in a home. I can become protective over items I value, and in a home environment that can create conflict, so I need a setup where I can relax and not feel like I need to guard my space or belongings. I shine best when I have clarity, structure, and a calm environment to settle into.
For kids, I would do best with children 7 and older who understand that I need space at first and respect my boundaries while I build trust.
I met the cats here and didn't pay much attention to them so I'd likely do well in a home with cats, with slow introductions.
At the end of the day, I’m an active, sensitive boy who just needs someone willing to see past my initial shyness and invest in who I am becoming. With patience and understanding, I will give you loyalty, affection, and a very strong opinion about my favorite things in life!
