At 30 pounds and still growing, this happy pup is expected to mature into a medium-sized dog—big enough to keep up with adventures, but still the perfect size for snuggles on the couch. From the moment you meet him, Huckleberry’s joyful energy is impossible to miss. He greets the world with a silly grin, a wagging tail, and pure enthusiasm for life. Meet Espresso Bean Good things take time to brew, and Espresso is proof of that. This 5-month-old Pointer/Labrador Retriever mix is one of the four adorable pups from the "Café" litter, and he's exactly the kind of dog who reveals himself in the best way. He's dressed in a beautiful white coat covered in the cutest tan details: a striking patch around his right eye, little cow-like spots scattered across his back, and a dipped tail that ties his whole one-of-a-kind look together. When Espresso first arrived, he was the more reserved and thoughtful one of the Café puppies. While some of his siblings dove headfirst into the middle of everything, Espresso liked to take it all in first, quietly sniffing around and giving himself a little time to decide that everything was okay. That gentle, observant nature is still part of who he is, but he has blossomed so much since then, and the playful, affectionate puppy underneath has come out in a big way. Espresso grew up alongside his three Café Litter siblings, giving him wonderful early socialization with other young puppies. Since being at the rescue, he has truly come out of his shell with other dogs, and they bring out his very best. He comes most alive in the company of his canine friends, where he's respectful, attentive, and affectionate. He would thrive in a household with other dogs, and he also does well with cats, making him a great fit for a busy, animal-loving home.
