Story
Hi there! My name is Lucy. I’m a 40-lb female Small German Shorthaired Pointer mix living in Columbia, Tennessee, and I’ve been told I have a bright spirit and a joyful personality.I was found as a stray back in December, but since then I’ve been safe and well cared for. Now I’m hoping to find my very own forever home where I can get lots of love, companionship, and fun things to do with my people.I’m a friendly girl who loves being part of the action. If you’re gardening, walking around the yard, or just hanging out, I’ll be happy to join you! I would do best with a family that enjoys including their dog in daily life. I’m pretty adaptable too, so I could fit in well with many kinds of homes—even ones with land or other animals.I’m crate-trained and already have a good foundation to build on. I’m not quite leash-trained yet, but I’m eager to learn and would love someone who can help teach me. I have no bite history and no known behavioral issues.I get along well with children, other dogs, and even horses, so I could be a great fit for a family home or a place with a little land.Health-wise, I’m in great shape! I’m spayed, heartworm-negative, and fully up to date on my vaccinations, including DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and CIV.What I’m really looking for is an active, loving home where I can get plenty of attention, exercise, and time with my people. I promise to be a loyal, happy companion who’s always excited to see you.If you think we might be the perfect match, please have your humans contact Mary Ruth Rogers. She’s hoping a foster or adopter will spring her from boarding! This girl loves people, loves other dogs, and loves her toys!!! She REALLY loves her food and can be a little aggressive about it so all you need to do is feed her in a separate spot if you have other dogs  She is a pointer mix about 1-2 years old and 35 pounds! Very pretty girl! She would love to be in a home! Apply online or email russellrescuetn@gmail.com if already approvedAvailable dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Story
Meet Luigi — certified goofball, professional toy enthusiast, and all-around good boy. 🐾 This handsome young mixed breed pup is full of fun, personality, and charm. Luigi is always ready for playtime with his “bros” at the center and knows how to keep the party going. Whether he’s zooming around the yard, tossing toys for himself, or making everyone laugh with his silly antics, Luigi brings joy wherever he goes. Luigi has already mastered the doggy door like a champ and takes mealtime very seriously — this boy never skips a snack opportunity. He’s also great at entertaining himself with toys, making him the perfect combination of playful and independent. Most of all, Luigi is looking for a forever home where he can continue learning, growing, and becoming the very best version of himself. He’s got tons of love to give and is ready to be someone’s loyal sidekick, adventure buddy, and favorite goofy companion. 💙

Story
Meet Grandma Mildred! She may be a senior with quite a few years under her collar, but she still has a spunky spirit. She doesn't let her "peg leg" keep her from chasing squirrels or exploring the backyard. Grandma Mildred will tell you how she is feeling with her old lady grunts. If you are hanging out on the couch with her, she will ask for belly rubs. She is content to chill with you in the evening (or all day long). Grandma Mildred gets along with other dogs but would also do just fine being your only fur baby. She is house-trained and sleeps in a crate at night. If you are looking for a sweet old pup to share your home and heart with, Grandma Mildred would love to meet you.
