Story
Zeke is a loving and deaf dog. He needs to be able to get out and about more that we can manage. We have a large backyard but cannot take walks with him like we would like. My son found him in KY and with his job, he just can't give him the time needed. We have two other dogs at our house that he gets along with fine. We did have two cats but they passed away in their older age. He would just ignore them and stay away from them pretty much. He does bark out of our front window a lot at birds, squirrels, cats and other animals roaming. He just seems like he needs to have more interaction with the outdoors more than ever. He's very loving and will lay his head in your lap. We are thinking he is around four years old. We would love to find someone that can provide him with love and activity. We hate to give him up because he is precious but we can tell he needs so much more that us 60 year old owners. Thanks

Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Poppy is a fun-loving, 7-month-old Pointer /  Hound mix with a heart of gold and a curious spirit. Weighing in at 38 lbs, she’s got plenty of energy to burn, but don’t worry—she’s incredibly smart and picks up on things quickly! Whether she’s romping around a pond or playing with her doggy friends, Poppy’s zest for life is contagious. One of the sweetest things about Poppy is her agreeable and easygoing nature. She’s already mastered “sit” and has great recall, plus she’s doing great with her housetraining. Crates? No problem for this girl! She settles down like a champ. Poppy is still figuring out the whole leash thing (they’re a little scary for her right now), but she’s making progress every day. She’s quiet as a mouse, too—no barking here! This lovely lady would thrive in a home with another playful dog and a yard to explore. She’s not suited for apartment living, but she’s sure to make any family happy with her gentle personality and curious mind. If you’re looking for a smart, fun-loving companion, Poppy is ready to bring endless joy to your life!    Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. October 5, 2024, 2:49 pm

Story
If you’re reading this, we here in the rescue already know you’re a special person. It takes a very special, kind, loving, extremely caring person to consider adopting an adult/senior dog. The world needs more people like you and dogs like Gunnar need people like you. Gunner’s family has decided they would like to rehome him through no fault of his own. Gunner might be a little set in his ways, but who isn’t at this age? Gunner would be great with an older couple, no other dogs and not lots of small kids in and out. He is not a huge fan of little dogs. He hasn’t ever bitten anyone or anything, but has snapped at some smaller dogs who get on his nerves 😂. We could easily put you in touch with his current family and they can tell you all about him if interested. This guy just needs a great home to live out the rest of his days and in and a family that won’t turn their back on him again. Once adopted, Gunner will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to his new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make Gunner part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Elvis is being courtesy posted to help another rescue find him a loving home. Elvis Elvis, he ain’t nothing but a hound dog. He loves his people and will follow you everywhere. His favorite things are balls, squeaky toys and a nice view of wildlife. He is not very vocal like most hounds but will let you know when someone is at the door. He is housebroken and does not mind his crate but prefers to sleep in bed with you. He knows sit, come and give me paw. He does pull while walking if a squirrel is noticed and he is strong. His fee is 400 dollars, he is chipped, fixed, up to date on shots and on heart-worm prevention. Please consider this rockstar who deserves to live like the king he was named after.
