Story
Meet Bandit - a 5 year old, Pointer / Bulldog, who weighed 55 pounds (as of 5/7/25). His current foster shares: "Bandit is a lovable guy who is really ready to settle in with his forever family. He likes to give hugs to his favorite people, and is very smart, and cares deeply for his family. Bandit gets along great with other dogs (prefers females), and he is also good with cats and chickens, too! He likes to roam if left unattended so it is best to have a good fenced in yard where he has freedom to explore. Bandit likes to snuggle at bedtime and will need to be comforted during big & scary, loud storms. He is house trained, gentle, and walks well on a leash. Bandit would really like to go on some fun adventures and to be someone’s best friend. Are you looking for a new friend? Bandit may be your perfect match!" To learn more about Bandit, please fill out the adoption application on our MARC website www.marc4change.org His adoption fee is $275.00

Story
Hi there! My name is Lucy. I’m a 40-lb female Small German Shorthaired Pointer mix living in Columbia, Tennessee, and I’ve been told I have a bright spirit and a joyful personality.I was found as a stray back in December, but since then I’ve been safe and well cared for. Now I’m hoping to find my very own forever home where I can get lots of love, companionship, and fun things to do with my people.I’m a friendly girl who loves being part of the action. If you’re gardening, walking around the yard, or just hanging out, I’ll be happy to join you! I would do best with a family that enjoys including their dog in daily life. I’m pretty adaptable too, so I could fit in well with many kinds of homes—even ones with land or other animals.I’m crate-trained and already have a good foundation to build on. I’m not quite leash-trained yet, but I’m eager to learn and would love someone who can help teach me. I have no bite history and no known behavioral issues.I get along well with children, other dogs, and even horses, so I could be a great fit for a family home or a place with a little land.Health-wise, I’m in great shape! I’m spayed, heartworm-negative, and fully up to date on my vaccinations, including DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and CIV.What I’m really looking for is an active, loving home where I can get plenty of attention, exercise, and time with my people. I promise to be a loyal, happy companion who’s always excited to see you.If you think we might be the perfect match, please have your humans contact Mary Ruth Rogers  Meet Lucy!!She’s hoping a foster or adopter will spring her from boarding! This girl loves people, loves other dogs, and loves her toys!!! Story
Lily was adopted from the shelter 2 years ago. She was abused and starved. Today she thrives health wise and has a healthy love of running and playing. However, she hasn’t gotten over her anxiety around people and changes. Lily faces all her fears easily when she is around other dogs. She is looking for a home with a least one young dog to play with. She does best with a routine schedule. She will chase cats. Lily loves cuddling, running, squeaky toys, and bones. She also has her own wardrobe.

Good with dogs,
Story
This beautiful English Pointer is a 1-year-old hike-loving, adventure-seeking tornado of fun! She’s athletic, spirited, and always up for anything. If you’re looking for a dog who can keep up with an active lifestyle, Freckles might be your perfect match. Freckles adores running, exploring, and entertaining herself with toys—she’s happiest when she has space to move and something to do. While she’s affectionate and enjoys people, her young age means playtime and discovery are top priorities right now. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and would thrive with adults or school-aged kids who can appreciate (and manage!) her enthusiasm. Freckles can enjoy canine companionship, but she’s a bit dog-selective and sometimes comes on strong when she wants to play. With the right dog and proper introductions, she can have a blast—but she’d also be perfectly content being your one-and-only adventure buddy. This energetic, joyful pup is looking for a home that will embrace her lively personality, provide plenty of exercise, and help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Ready to keep up with Freckles? She’s ready to run straight into your heart.
