Story
Hi there! My name is Lucy. I’m a 40-lb female Small German Shorthaired Pointer mix living in Columbia, Tennessee, and I’ve been told I have a bright spirit and a joyful personality.I was found as a stray back in December, but since then I’ve been safe and well cared for. Now I’m hoping to find my very own forever home where I can get lots of love, companionship, and fun things to do with my people.I’m a friendly girl who loves being part of the action. If you’re gardening, walking around the yard, or just hanging out, I’ll be happy to join you! I would do best with a family that enjoys including their dog in daily life. I’m pretty adaptable too, so I could fit in well with many kinds of homes—even ones with land or other animals.I’m crate-trained and already have a good foundation to build on. I’m not quite leash-trained yet, but I’m eager to learn and would love someone who can help teach me. I have no bite history and no known behavioral issues.I get along well with children, other dogs, and even horses, so I could be a great fit for a family home or a place with a little land.Health-wise, I’m in great shape! I’m spayed, heartworm-negative, and fully up to date on my vaccinations, including DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and CIV.What I’m really looking for is an active, loving home where I can get plenty of attention, exercise, and time with my people. I promise to be a loyal, happy companion who’s always excited to see you.If you think we might be the perfect match, please have your humans contact Mary Ruth Rogers Meet Lucy!!She’s hoping a foster or adopter will spring her from boarding! This girl loves people, loves other dogs, and loves her toys!!!
