🐾 STRIPER (OR RENAME ME!) 🐾 Hi! My name is Striper… but you can rename me if you’d like! I’m an approximately 8-month-old mixed-breed boy who was found living as a stray. Despite my rough start, I’m a happy, friendly pup who still believes every person could be my new best friend. I’m estimated to weigh around 40 pounds and appear to be some type of bird dog mix. I love people, enjoy attention, and have a playful, outgoing personality. The nice people who found me said I was gentle with everyone I met, including children. I would love a family that will help me learn what it’s like to be a cherished indoor dog. In return, I’ll provide plenty of love, loyalty, and smiles. My Highlights: 🐾 Approximately 8 months old 🐾 Male 🐾 Friendly and outgoing 🐾 Gentle with people 🐾 Appears to do well with other dogs 🐾 Ready for a forever family I’ve survived on my own long enough. Now I’m ready for a couch, a family, and a name that will be mine forever. Could that be with you? Transportation is available for the right home! 📧 Interested in adopting Striper? Story
Pollen is a true pointer with a little hound in her, too, always following her nose to the ground during walks and staying curious about everything around her. She’s especially interested in birds and squirrels, so her walks should be taken with awareness and a watchful eye. Pollen does well on a leash, though she would benefit from continued leash-walking training to help her keep building her manners and focus. She is very smart, athletic, and full of energy, and she would thrive in a home that has the time and patience to devote to a puppy with lots of personality and drive. Pollen knows “sit,” is crate trained, and loves her dog plush toys. She enjoys her meals and daily treats, and she is very food motivated, which makes her eager to learn. With daily exercise, structure, and an active adopter who can keep up with her adventurous spirit, Pollen will make a loyal and fun companion.

"Rub my belly" Fuzz is a very friendly and affectionate pup, and this happy guy never stops wiggling! Fuzz wiggles for friends and strangers alike, hoping there are some belly rubs in the offing. And this charming cuddlebug likes to get in nice and close. He'll wiggle into any nook and cranny available next to you on the couch and loves being held in bed when you sleep, wiggling himself right under your arm. If the bed's not an option, Fuzz won't put up too much of a fuss - he'll sleep in his crate and then get back to cuddling in the morning. But Fuzz is much more than just a first-rate snuggler - he also has quite a bit of energy to burn and would likely make a great jogging and adventure buddy. He's also does well in playgroup with his canine pals at the shelter and has hung out with a volunteer's resident dogs on a sleepover. And when he wasn't playing with his doggie friends, he got himself right back to snuggling. Fuzz is also thriving in APA!'s Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program where he works with a volunteer trainer several times a week toward the goal of passing the American Kennel Club's CGC test. To pass the CGC test, a dog must demonstrate obedience and general reliability in real world situations. Dogs in the CGC program learn to walk nicely on leash, sit calmly when approached by strangers or another dog, how to greet people appropriately, stay in a sit or down until told "free," and come when called. As part of APA's CGC program you can work with APA to continue to build a training relationship with Fuzz after adoption and get officially CGC certified for free! Check out a video about CGC: https://vimeo.com/89434193 Fuzz is more than ready for his forever home, and he can't wait to wiggle his way into your heart. Come meet him! Meet Regina George — and don’t worry… this Regina is actually nice 💖✨ Beautiful, intelligent, and effortlessly charming, Regina George is the kind of girl everyone wants in their circle. She’s got that star quality — always happy to see you, excited to be out and about, and absolutely glowing when she’s around her people. Unlike her movie namesake, this Regina is all heart. She’s sweet, gentle, and incredibly easygoing — calm on leash, happy to join you wherever you’re headed, and totally unbothered when it comes to handling (leash swaps? no problem!). She glides into playgroup like she owns it… but in the nicest way possible, opening up quickly and making friends with ease. She’s the perfect mix of social butterfly and laid-back bestie — ready for adventures, but just as happy to keep things chill by your side. No drama, no diva energy — just a genuinely kind, affectionate dog who wants to be part of your world. On Wednesdays, we wear pink… but every day is a good day with Regina George by your side 💕🐾

Yolanda is a dream girl. She is super people friendly and will make an exceptional family pet, the kind dog you want kids to grow up with. She's fun and loves to run and play. We think Yolanda will be a great frisbee dog as she can jump and fly through the air. She is an amazing dog to watch. Good with other dogs but still needs a cat test. Yolanda is sleek and graceful, shiny black coat with telltale German Shorthair Pointer spots on her dainty feet. If Yolanda were reinvented as a person, she would definitely be a ballerina. Story
Truly "Juan in a Million" If you have ever said, "I want to help the dog that needs me the most," Juan is waiting for you. When Juan first came into our care after surviving the devastating 2026 flood disaster, he was heartbreakingly thin and suffering from severe skin issues. Yet, from the very moment he was rescued, this brave boy chose hope over fear. He is a true fighter, recovering quickly and showing us every single day what unconditional love looks like. Juan has unique, stunning heterochromia, including a cataract in one eye that he cannot see out of. But don't let that fool you—he does not let his visual impairment or his past hardships slow him down for a second. He has the absolute best spirit, a heart of pure gold, and a surprising, radiant joy that shines through everything he does. Why You'll Fall in Love with Him: Joyful Walker: He absolutely loves going on walks to explore the world around him. Happiest Tail: His tail wags non-stop, spreading happiness wherever he steps. Sweet & Friendly: He greets every day, and every friend, with a gentle and loving nature. A Resilient Soul: His friends affectionately call him "Juan in a Million" because of his unmatched sweetness and bravery. Be Part of His Comeback Story Juan has overcome the rising waters and the pain of neglect, but he needs one final miracle: a foster or adoptive home to show him he is safe forever. We are looking for an incredible human foster ready to open their heart to a dog who will give you endless devotion in return. Juan is ready to leave his past behind. Are you his One in a Million?

Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.
