Story
Sweet ClaireBear is truly the BEST! She's smart, brave, and wonderfully independent; often happy to play on her own but always ready for a good cuddle. She's affectionate with her humans, amazing with kids, great with other dogs, and brings joy everywhere she goes. Claire is a scrappy little explorer who loves to be on the move and seek out adventure, but she also enjoys her cozy naps. She gives the sweetest hugs with her little arms and it melts your heart every time. She's very treat-motivated, loves training, and picks up new commands quickly. She doesn't try to run away and on the few occasions she slipped out of our backyard, she ran straight to the front door. She simply loves being close to her family.♥️ We are absolutely heartbroken to have to rehome her. With our work travel during the week and out of state sports schedules on the weekends, we just can not give her the time, love, and attention she truly deserves.

Full of enthusiasm and affection, she delights in spending time with her people—whether it’s family, friends, or new faces she’s just met! Luna loves playing fetch, going on long walks, showing off her toys, and learning new tricks—she’s a bright girl who thrives on fun and mental challenges. She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and comfortable being alone when needed. In great health and high spirits, Luna is always ready for adventure but equally enjoys snuggling up for cozy cuddle time after a day of play. During thunderstorms or fireworks, she appreciates a little comfort and reassurance. While she prefers to keep her toys and treats to herself, she’s happiest when her people are close by and engaged with her. Luna will shine in an active, loving home that enjoys playtime, exercise, and outdoor adventures. If you’re looking for a loyal, lively, and affectionate companion, Luna is ready to fill your home—and your heart—with happiness.

Story
Meet Colette! This spirited young girl adores butt scratches and is eager to share her cozy cuddles with a special someone. With a playful spirit, Colette is always up for a game of tug of war-it's one of her absolute favorites! Not only is she a fun-loving companion, but she's also quite the brainiac! Colette is eager to learn and loves showing off her tricks, with "spin" being her latest achievement. She's fully house-trained, happily roaming around without any destructive tendencies when left home alone. Colette gets along well with other dogs and has lived with a cat; so she could happily share her home with a furry sibling. She's also spent some time with a pot-belly pig and tortoise on a fieldtrip; she was completely unphased so we think she could be great for a home with some farm animals too! Colette is looking for someone who has had experience with dogs to help her transition from shelter life so she can flourish. We know that change can be tough; especially after being in this stressful environment for so long. Our hope is that with the help of an experienced foster she can overcome her past and look towards her future. Colette and her foster will also have the full support of APA's behavioral team to make sure she settles in well and that you are set up for success throughout this process! If you or someone you know has the experience to help our sweet Colette please email matchmaker@austinpetsalive.org today!

Story
Delta is on Instagram! @pitstoptofurever, @princess.bellyrubs, & @thelongstayproject Princess Belly Rubs, aka Delta, is thriving in her foster home. She loves ear rubs, belly rubs, snuggling and snoring next to you in bed, chewing on Benebones, tossing around stuffy toys, and napping. Outside, she's all about sunning with her belly up (working on her freckles), swimming in a kiddie pool, and running in the yard. She loves the car and is always up for a coffee drive-thru or a quiet place for a walk. Count her in as your co-pilot, her ears flapping out the window. If you work from home or do hybrid work, she is a fantastic coworker who will either rest her head on your lap or nap nearby. Delta will thrive in a home with humans who are often home or happy to practice an "I'll be back" routine when heading out. She will also do well with an easy-going dog sibling to keep her company while you are away. Delta is house-trained and up to date on vaccinations. This smarty pants also knows sit, down, free, paw, and more (for more belly rubs). The sweet girl was not treated kindly in her last home, so she would love for her next one to be calm, compassionate, and loving. She loves her close friends and is all wiggles and kisses when she sees them. Know anyone looking for a happy, snuggly, and sweet girl who loves to be around her people? Delta truly deserves to be in a home filled with love!

Story
At 9 years old and 65 pounds, Cash looks like a giant Chihuahua sent here from another galaxy to study Earth dogs. His official record claims he arrived from Dallas, Texas in 2021. We think that’s a cover story. Our theory: he stepped off a UFO and walked straight into the shelter. If NASA spotted him near Area 51, no one would question it. Since landing, Cash has been quietly observing human behavior, collecting data, and waiting for the perfect moment to make contact with his forever family. That moment is now. Evidence Cash is from another planet: 👽 Eyes that track you like friendly moons in orbit. 👽 Loves toys the way astronauts love freeze-dried ice cream. 👽 Communicates in pure joy and occasional squeaks. 👽 Solar powered, often sunbathing in chairs to recharge. 👽 Prefers ladies but will consider a respectful male astronaut if chemistry is right. 👽 Does not trust vacuums and sees them as hostile Earth technology. 👽 His DNA test came back 8% unresolved, assuming that means classified information. Mission requirements: 🛸 Cozy spot by the window for planetary observation. 🛸 Basket of toys to collect, study, and protect. 🛸 Human(s) to supply cuddles, snacks, and head scritches. 🛸 Low-traffic home where his personal space bubble stays intact on walks. 🛸 Patience for one quirky, lovable alien who’s allergic to Earth (daily fish oil keeps the space suit shiny) and sometimes spirals into a minor black hole of loneliness when his favorite human leaves the mothership. Cash is ready to beam directly into your life. He’ll join you on walks, supervise Netflix marathons, and nap peacefully while you work from home. In return, you’ll get unconditional love from a dog so unique he might need his own species classification. 📲 Follow his transmissions: @adopt_cash
