OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF:Walter is a friendly dog that is curious but cautious of new situations. He seems to want to engage in play with other dogs here at the shelter. Walter is a bit scared of our cats here at the shelter. He knows the sit and down commands and will need some work walking on a leash as he pulls a bit. Weighs 40 pounds, $25 to adopt, comes with a $40 neuter voucher to go towards the cost of his neuter.

OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Fizz is a sweet puppy that loves to play. She can be a little shy at first when meeting new people but she warms up quickly. Fizz loves to play with our other dogs here around her age but should be trained not to chase a cat. Fizz is very treat motivated which will come in handy helping her learn other commands besides “sit”. Fizz is a little scared of the leash and will need some help learning how to walk on one. Weighs 36 pounds, $50 to adopt

She is 3years old English Pointer mix who can be very timid to new people at first, but once she gets to know you, her tail will never stop wagging and she will shower you with so much hugs and kisses! She gets along very well with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats either. Her favorite thing is to play with them in the backyard and cuddle with her people. She is very quiet and fully crate trained so that she can sleep in there throughout the night without a peep. She is not reactive to the doorbell or outside noises either and walks great on a leash. The ideal home for Mabel is a family or someone who understands her initial timidness and be patient with her so that she can learn to trust people and show her happy personality. Anya is a 5y old high energy, extremely intelligent, silly, full bred Pudlepointer. She is liver colored with a wire coat. She doesn't really shed and does not need regular grooming. She really needs an active person in her life to take her hiking or running on a near daily basis. She is a smart dog and will test boundaries, but is eager to please and desires your loving attention. Our family adopted Anya about one year old. I suspect she was not socialized much in her first year of life and is wary of strangers at first. She has not ever bitten anyone, but she will bark loudly at strangers who approach. She knows many commands including sit, down, stay, kennel, speak, spin, play dead, go to your bed, find a toy/person(she has learned names of toys, people, and other pets). She is house trained, kennel trained, and muzzle trained(we put her in a muzzle when taking her to the vet) She is great with our daughter and other dog. She needs a loving experienced caretaker.

HE NEEDS A HOME WHERE IS HE CAN BE WITH EITHER ANOTHER LARGE DOG OR HAVE SOMEONE WITH HIM THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME.
