Story
Murphy and Millie met for the first time in foster care, but they very quickly became the best of friends! We absolutely can't separate the two of them. They play together, they nap together, they groom each other. They have to stay together. Murphy was the first to arrive in foster care. Murphy is a polydactyl cat! He's sporting extra toes up front! He was born outside in a colony in St Inigoes. He had very loving caretakers, so he was raised to love humans. Once you meet Murphy, you'll want to adopt him! From his big mitten paws to his brown fluffy tail, he is a huge character! He loves to play and will keep you entertained for hours! Get him a cat condo. It's his favorite place to be! And when the day is done, prepare to cuddle up with your bestie for a warm snooze. He's a great companion, fairly splitting his cuddle time with you and his girl, Millie. He wants everyone to be happy and included. He'll make anyone happy they adopted him. Miss Fluffington was found outside with her two beautiful kittens. She is a very friendly, very beautiful, and very small girl. At only 5 lbs, she won't get any bigger, but that fluff makes her look almost normal size! She had to learn how to live in a house, but she learned from Murphy and is almost a professional! She still prefers to sleep high up on a cat condo rather than on a couch with her human, but she'll figure it out. She loves her humans, and she's willing to learn. With help from Murphy and the other cats in her foster home, she has learned a lot about inside living. She watches tv in fascination, has tentatively sniffed the dog a few times, and has crawled up into my lap for a quick check in before moving away to find a friend to play with, which is usually Murphy. Unfortunately, both cats have FIV. However, both get along well with other cats. The virus is only spread through a bite from an infected cat. There will be no risk to other cats in the home as long as a slow introduction is done. There is no risk at all to humans, dogs, or any other animals. FIV only affects cats. Because these two have a lowered immune system, they should go to a vet every year to stay up on their vaccines, which will boost immunity. And if one of them ever gets a kitty cold, they should be taken to a vet immediately because it could be life threatening with a lowered immune system. Beyond that, most FIV cats live very long normal lives with proper care. Meet the available cats and kittens at the Petco in California MD on Saturdays and Sundays 11-3.
