Story
Hey everyone! My name is Abigail, nice to meet you. I'm a 1 year old, spayed female, Chihuahua mix that weighs 20 lbs. I tend to be a little timid at first, and need some time to warm up and get to know you. Once I warm up - which won't take long - I'm the sweetest girl you ever met! I love getting pets, sunbathing, playing with toys, and going for nice walks. My friends at PHS say I have excellent leash manners! Since I can get a little overwhelmed when encountering new things, such as new environments or meeting new dogs, I'm looking for people that can help teach me that the world isn't a scary place and help me get more confident. Here's how it went Abgail went on an adventure today; she visited a staff member’s office and did great! As she was headed out and about, she met up with a few staff members who she didn’t know and went right up to say hi! She was super interested in exploring once inside the office, checking all the nooks and crannies for treats. Once she had done her perimeter sweep, she was happy to settle on her bed to play with a few toys or take a nap throughout the afternoon. She was always eager to greet and say hi to anyone who happened to stop by. We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
