She loves to be with her person cuddling on the sofa, and burrowing under the covers in bed at night. Her favorite things include going for walks and get in all the sniffs she can, taking naps on the deck in the sunshine and hanging out with her resident foster dog buddies. She is potty trained and will independently use a dog door if available. Though she is not a fan of car rides and has not shown interest in playing with toys, she is content to be home during the day while her foster guardian is at work. Melville is a young 11-pound chi cutie with warm brown eyes and ears for days. He came in to the shelter as a stray and is searching for meaning and belonging in a forever home of his own. Melville is reserved with new people, and appreciates a gentle and slow approach. Once he is comfortable, he enjoys gentle pets and affection from people who respect his boundaries. This young medium-energy boy walks well on leash and enjoys playing with other respectful small dogs - a confident small dog sibling in his new home may help ease his transition into his new family. Because of his personality and preference for quiet respect, he will need a home without small children; kids over 13 may be ok.
