Our very own Mickey Mouse is ready to find his forever home! When he first arrived in Colorado, he wasn’t quite sure how he felt about those chilly winter days—but that didn’t stop him from happily heading out for walks and stretching his long legs. Now that he’s settled in (and we’re enjoying those sunny, spring-ish winter days), Mickey absolutely thrives when he can romp around outside and soak up the sunshine.
He loves a good game of chase with his foster sister who’s similar in size, and he plays wonderfully with his black lab foster brother, too. He’s social, playful, and fits in beautifully with other dogs.
That said, Mickey is also a professional cuddler. Most of the day, you’ll find him curled up on the couch with his canine crew. The moment you sit down, he’s quick to hop over, shower you with kisses, and snuggle right into your lap. If you’re looking for a playful companion who balances outdoor fun with serious snuggle time, Mickey might just be your perfect match.
Mickey is a 3-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $400 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Mickey is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. He is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). *We will not be hosting adoption events on Saturday, February 7 or 14. Instead, we are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applications February 2-15.*
