Ellie may be small, but her personality is anything but. After a difficult start to life, this sweet girl has shown remarkable resilience and is now thriving in foster care — healthy, happy, and full of joy.
She’s the perfect blend of “carried princess” and “trail blazer.” One moment she’s curled up in her favorite kangaroo pouch, and the next she’s trotting along confidently with the big dogs, soaking up every adventure. Ellie does everything with her whole heart. Ellie is loyal, playful, and fully potty trained. She adores other dogs, loves her people, and does well with kids. She can be a little shy when meeting new people or exploring new places, but with patience and kindness, she quickly blossoms into a devoted companion who promises endless laughs and cozy under-the-covers snuggles.
At around 12 pounds, Ellie is the perfect size for both adventures and cuddles. She’s ready for a home that will give her the love and stability she deserves — and in return, she’ll be your most loyal little shadow.
Ellie is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $500 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Ellie is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
