Story
Kiwi is an adorable long-haired Chihuahua who may be tiny, but she has an incredible spirit and so much love to give. Kiwi came to Max's Ark with a deformed spine, which means he has some physical limitations and may need a little extra understanding and care. But Kiwi doesn't see himself as different — he's simply a sweet little boy who wants what every dog wants: to feel safe, loved, and cherished. Despite his special needs, Kiwi is an incredibly sweet companion. He enjoys being near his people and is happiest when he feels secure and loved. His unique body may mean that he needs some accommodations and thoughtful care, but his loving personality makes every bit of it worthwhile. Kiwi previously spent time with Ivy, and the two were initially thought to be a bonded pair. Once they became comfortable and settled into their foster environment, however, it became clear that they are not bonded and can be adopted separately. Kiwi is now ready to find a forever family who will look beyond his physical differences and see the wonderful little dog he truly is. He doesn't need someone to feel sorry for him He needs someone who will love him, protect him, understand his limitations, and celebrate everything he CAN do. 🥹❤️ If you have room in your heart for a very special little Chihuahua who has already overcome so much, Kiwi may be your girl. 🐾💕 Serious adopters from Southern Lee County (Estero area) and Collier County only. Max's Ark is a volunteer-based rescue organization with no physical shelter.

Hi, my name is Missy, and I’m a beautiful 3-year-old Pomeranian with a fluffy white coat, a sweet face, and a heart that is finally ready to know what it feels like to be truly loved. 🐾🤍 My journey brought me to Max’s Ark Rescue after being rescued from a breeder. For a long time, my life was very different from the one I dream about now. I was part of a breeding world, where there wasn’t much opportunity to simply be a dog—to play, to cuddle, to feel safe, or to have someone call me their baby. But that chapter is over. Now I’m discovering all the little things that make life wonderful. A soft bed. A gentle voice. A warm lap. Someone who tells me I’m a good girl just because I exist. And oh, how I love knowing that I am finally safe. ❤️ I weigh about 11 pounds, and I’m a happy little girl who gets along with dogs and cats. I’m also spayed and up to date on my vaccinations, so I’m ready to start looking for my forever home. I’m looking for an experienced adopter who understands that dogs like me may need patience and reassurance as we learn what life outside a breeder’s world is really like. I may need a little time to discover my confidence and understand that I don’t have to worry anymore. But I promise you this… I have so much love waiting inside this little fluffy heart. 🤍 I spent the first part of my life belonging to someone else’s breeding program. Now I’m hoping the rest of my life can belong to someone who simply wants to love me.
