***Bonded –Molly & Penny are bonded and must be adopted together.*** Meet Molly and Penny! Hi, we’re Molly and Penny, a bonded pair of Chihuahuas with big personalities and a lot of love to give! Don’t let our age fool you – we are full of energy and charisma.  We’re affectionate, silly, resilient, and very loyal once we acclimate to our new environment.  Molly: I’m a 13-year-old Chihuahua girl and weighing 8.6 pounds. I love giving kisses to my special person and any spot close to them is my favorite place in the world. I like food and though I love my bestie, Penny, it’s usually a good idea for us to eat separately so we’re not tempted to share.   Penny: I’m a 13-year-old Chihuahua girl weighing 7.2 pounds. I love curling up in the coziest spot I can find near my person.  I also love food so I might need some tricks to slow me down. Favorite Things: Molly and Penny are very affectionate and bond closely with their special person as their trust builds. They do best in a calm environment with limited foot traffic, but they can handle being home alone for a few hours, as long as they have each other!  They can take or leave toys, much preferring to hang out with each other and their person. They do love their food and are very food-motivated, which helps with training. They also love neighborhood walks and relaxing on the couch with their humans in the evening.  Training & Manners: Molly and Penny are working on housetraining and do best when let out on a regular schedule. They'll need continued coaching and patience with house manners but already do well with leash walking.  They enjoy their walks and the exercise helps them settle.   They are fine on car rides and sleep soundly in the people bed at night in their foster home. Health & Care: This pair are both up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed, and recently had dental cleanings.  They just need their monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Regular baths and nail trims will keep them looking and feeling their best. Other Animals: Molly and Penny have experience with other small, laid-back dogs.  They have not been tested with cats, but their foster mom suspects they would not be a good fit. Children: These two sweethearts would do best in an adult-only home as the high energy that children generally bring unsettles them.  Molly in particular is uncomfortable when someone moves too quickly into her personal space.   Ideal Home: This pair isn’t picky and could do fine in an apartment, condo, townhouse or single home.  They can be left alone in the home in a secure space for a few hours without issues. Overall: If you have a heart and home big enough for two sweet Chihuahuas who make wonderful companions for their people and each other, Molly and Penny might be the ones for you. If you think they might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, their foster family will reach out with more information. The adoption donation for the pair is $300. ##2629693##

***Bonded – Lil Bit & Bow Wow are bonded and must be adopted together.*** Meet Lil Bit and Bow Wow! Hi, we are Lil Bit and Bow Wow. We’ve been together for many years and can’t bear to be parted.  We’re both curious, gentle, and a little shy and we’re searching for a family that has LOVE enough for two. Lil Bit – I’m a three-legged Chihuahua girl who is 13.5 years old and weighs 6.5 lbs. I take the lead for this dynamic duo, like any self-respecting Chihuahua, but Bow Wow is my best friend in the world and we get along like two peas in a pod. I’m also in charge of surveillance in my home and neighborhood, so you can rest easy. Bow Wow – I’m a 10-year-old Cairn terrier blend boy who weighs 12.6 lbs. I happily follow my best-friend-furever’s lead but I’m also fond of human cuddles.  My enthusiastic wiggle when I see my people will tell them all they need to know. Favorite Things: This pair eats, plays, and sleeps together and are very relaxed in each other’s company. Lil Bit likes to sit on her human’s lap when it’s time to chill. Bow Wow also loves to snuggle with his human and be scratched behind his ears.  They can take or leave toys, preferring to enjoy time with their people and their soulmates over playing with the squeaky stuff. Training & Manners: Lil Bit and Bow Wow are house trained when kept on a regular schedule. They have good basic manners, walk well on their leashes and tolerate a car ride. Both sleep in their own cozy beds at night in their foster home. Health & Care: This is a healthy pair who are up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and recently had dental cleanings.  They just need their monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Lil Bit will need regular baths and nail trims while Bow Wow will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks to look and feel his best. Other Animals: Lil Bit and Bow Wow have experience with other small dogs as well as cats and get along with both but need slow introductions. Children: These two sweethearts would do best in a home with kind, understanding, older children (ages 12+), or a home with no kids and quiet senior living would be great too!  Ideal Home: This pair will need a home without stairs or a pool given Lil Bit’s three-legged physique. And they’ll do best in a single-family home because Lil Bit will bark to alert you to both strangers and visitors (she has a strong resume as security director). They can be left alone in the home for a few hours in a secure space. This duo would do best in a fenced-yard where they can sniff, explore and wander together safely in nature. Overall: If you’re looking for a cuddly couple who make wonderful companions for their people as well as each other, Lil Bit and Bow Wow might be the ones for you. If you think they might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, their foster family will reach out with more information. The adoption donation for the pair is $300. ##1360023##
