Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Poppy was surrendered by breeders as she had become too old for their needs.  The breeder did at some point,  have all her teeth extracted, so now she has permanent tongue out. Despite the lack of respect for her life, she is the absolute sweetest little girl and loves to be held and to sleep on your chest with her head on your neck.   And in true Pomeranian fashion, she can be independent and sometimes aloof.  But always very sweet. She's not fond of a crate, spent too much time in one, but she will settle down in one.  She would just rather always be with her people.  When being crated is about the only time she makes a peep.  She does not want to miss out on what's going on. She is currently with a foster who is working on house-training.  You can imagine, she spent her life outside in a kennel, she never received that training. The reports on her age vary but her vet confirms she is healthy.  Her heart is good and she is full of energy. She would be best with someone retired or who is home most of the time.  She has learned to walk on a leash and likes to go for walks. Age: approx.12 years Weight:  approx. 7 lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, older respectful kids Training: working on house-training and crate acceptance, learning to walk on leash. Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions:    pheiges@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.June 28, 2026, 4:38 pm

Story
With a heavy heart, I am seeking a loving new home for my senior dog. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but due to changes in my circumstances, I am no longer able to provide the level of care, attention, and stability that my beloved companion deserves during their golden years. My dog is a gentle, loyal, and loving senior who has been a treasured part of my life. They deserve a peaceful home where they can continue to receive affection, comfort, and the special care that comes with aging. I am committed to finding a kind and responsible family who will cherish them and provide a safe, loving environment. This decision comes from a place of love and concern for my dog's well-being. My hope is to find a family that understands the needs of senior dogs and is willing to give them the patience, companionship, and care they deserve. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to a wonderful senior dog, please reach out for more inform

Story
Boomerang is a gentle, easygoing little lady with a sweet soul and a love for simply being near her people. This laid-back girl is a champion napper and fully embraces her cozy lifestyle. She’s crate trained, keeps her space tidy, and settles in well when left alone, making her a great fit for a home with a typical workday schedule. She is making progress with potty training and does best on a consistent routine. When it comes to fun, Boomerang has her moments! She’ll show off the cutest zoomies and happy “tippy taps,” especially around mealtime—her absolute favorite part of the day. This low-energy sweetheart enjoys her daily walks but is just as happy lounging at home. She rides well in the car, handles stairs like a pro, and is tolerant of grooming and handling. Boomerang coexists peacefully with other dogs and would do well with a calm canine companion or as a solo pup. She’s also done well with respectful children and may do fine with cats given her low prey drive. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will quietly stick by your side and bring a little extra warmth into your life, Boomerang might just be your perfect match. Put in an application to meet her today!
