Hi everyone! My name is Peanut, and my vet thinks I’m around 3 years old. My story started when I was found wandering in a very rural neighborhood. Thankfully, a kind lady took me in and cared for me until the rescue could take over. Everyone was sure that someone must be looking for me, but after three weeks, no one came forward. So now I’m hoping to find the forever family I deserve. ❤️ It took me about a week to feel safe, but once I did, my true personality came shining through! I LOVE attention and would be perfectly happy being your one and only dog. The more people who pet me, cuddle me, and let me sit in their lap, the happier I am! 🥰 I don’t really play or interact with other dogs. I mostly tolerate them, but I do prefer my own space—especially when it comes to my crate and food. 🐾 A few things about me: • I walk nicely on a leash. • I really don’t like wearing a collar all day. • I’m crate trained, although I’d much rather sleep in bed with you! 😉 • I LOVE sitting in laps and being close to my people. • I learn quickly and pick up on daily routines very well. • I love riding in the car! 🚗 • I learned how to use a doggie door in just a few days. • My favorite snacks are baby carrots and cooked sweet potatoes. 🥕🍠 Honestly, I’m just an all-around great little pup looking for someone who wants a constant companion. NAPOLEON — Small in Size, BIG on Personality! Meet Napoleon, a handsome little guy who weighs in at around 12 pounds and is approximately 1.5-2 years old. He’s a Chihuahua mix with the cutest little underbite, which has us wondering… What exactly is this boy mixed with?! Honestly, Napoleon would be a great candidate for a DNA test because that adorable face is definitely keeping some secrets! Napoleon does well with other dogs and tends to do best with medium-sized dogs who can match his energy and play style. He may be little, but this guy doesn’t seem to have gotten the memo! One of Napoleon’s FAVORITE things is going for a ride in the car! His foster mom has discovered that loading him up for a day at doggy daycare while she’s at work is pretty much his idea of the perfect day. ❤️ Car ride? YES.
❤️ Doggy daycare? YES.
❤️ Hanging out with his dog friends? ABSOLUTELY. Napoleon’s story didn’t start out the way it should have. He came from a situation where he experienced neglect, and because of that, he has had to learn that people can be trusted. But this little guy is making progress every day, and watching him come out of his shell has been incredibly rewarding. He is learning that gentle hands, patience, consistency, car rides, doggy friends, and a loving foster home are all pretty wonderful things. He may have started life with some tough chapters, but Napoleon is writing a much happier story now. And we can’t wait to see how his next chapter ends.
