Allow me to introduce Keno! This little lover has been running the streets for the last 2 months that we know of. Keno hit the jackpot when he met a girlfriend living in a mobile home park. This got Keno seen by an amazing woman who wanted to help. It was the park manager, she was able to keep Keno fed as he stuck around a couple months due to his new girlfriend, and the manager worked on earning his trust.It finally happened, he walked right into her arms. She quickly took him into her office and called us. Of course his little girlfriend followed. Lucky in love is what we call this rescue We are so grateful that little Keno is safe and so is his girlfriend Roulette (Roo)Everyone took a gamble and hit the jackpot on the rescue life! We are so very grateful for the park manager she never gave up on him and his little girlfriend. Keno was vetted, he tested negative for heartworms, he is microchiped, and has a linked geotag. He is also neutered, current on all preventions and current on vaccines. We aged this little 13lb guy at around 8 or 9 months old.Keno is sweet, loving and playful. He is dog and cat friendly. Sweetie was surrendered to the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. She is around 6 years old and weighs 6 pounds. She can be a spicy girl sometimes and will need someone with spicy small dog experience. When Sweetie arrived, she had a large lump in her inguinal area, this was evaluated by a vet and determined that it was an inguinal hernia which contained part of her reproductive tract and intestines in it. She has had this repaired and had a small nodule removed from her mammary gland which was sent out to be tested. It came back as a malignant mammary adenocarcinoma- grade 2, which was completely removed. She will need regular monitoring to be sure that if another nodule develops it is removed, it is hormone driven so her being spayed should help reduce the risk of more forming. Sweetie would do best in an adult only home. Sweetie would love to find her second chance at having a loving forever home soon! She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/Lyme tested, and microchipped since her arrival at the shelter. Solomon loves bones and his favorite toy is Lamb Chop or any bear that he can tussle with. Solomon does growl sometimes when he sees other dogs and cats. He also runs after birds if he sees them and barks. Slow introductions are needed with dogs, cats, and children. Solomon does get protective of his person, so he would do best in a home with no children and perhaps just one adult that he can bond with.
