Meet Chopsticks, a little dog with a big appetite for love! This friendly Dachshund and Chihuahua mix is approximately 3 years old and weighs just 10.4 pounds. He is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves attention and is eager to make new friends. Chopsticks was found as a stray and was very thin when he first entered care. His foster helped him gain weight and gave him plenty of love while he waited for his next chapter. Now, he is ready for a family of his own. Food is one of Chopsticks’ favorite things, and his enthusiasm for treats could make reward based training especially fun! He does have difficulty eating around other dogs and needs to be fed separately, in a secure space where he can enjoy his meals without another dog approaching. His future family must be comfortable making separate feeding a consistent part of his routine. According to his foster, Chopsticks enjoys playing with other dogs and did not bother the cats in her home. Any introductions to resident pets should still be gradual, giving everyone time to settle in comfortably. This little guy has already made a lasting impression on the people who have cared for him. Now he is looking for someone who will appreciate his affectionate personality, respect his needs, and give him a place to belong. Chopsticks’ adoption fee is $500 plus tax.

This approximately 3 year old Dachshund and Chihuahua mix weighs 12.2 pounds and is looking for a family who will help him feel safe, loved, and right at home. Mannie was found as a stray alongside Chopsticks and was severely underweight when he first entered care. In his foster home, he received nourishing meals, kindness, and time to settle in. His foster describes him as a funny, energetic, happy boy whose sweet personality blossoms once he feels comfortable. Mannie can be a little unsure and nervous at first, but he warms up quickly. Once he gets to know you, he is a lovable, affectionate companion who enjoys attention and opportunities to run and play. According to his foster, Mannie is crate trained and goes potty outside. His new family should still expect to provide a consistent routine and patience as he adjusts to a new home. He also got along with the other dogs and cats in his foster home, with gradual introductions recommended for any new companions. Mealtime is an area where Mannie needs understanding and consistency. He becomes very anxious for food, eats quickly, and does not comfortably share food with other dogs. His foster fed him in his crate to prevent conflicts, and his adopters will need to continue feeding him separately from other pets. Giving him a secure, private place to eat will be an essential part of his daily care. Mannie was deeply loved by his foster, who hopes to see him find a home where that love continues. With a little patience, time to build trust, and room for his playful personality, this sweet boy has so much to offer. Mannie’s adoption fee is $500 plus tax.
