Story
This little pooch is Don! The Don. He is an opinionated dog who is selective with his small circle of friends. You have to be up to snuff for his highness to accept you. He is not shy about telling you off if you do too much too soon trying to make his acquaintance. He is looking for an adult only home where he is the center of your world, as he feels is only right. He may be open to possibly cohabiting with other animals, but he will always be number one. Don is a special dog who just wants the lap of luxury as he clearly deserves. If you are experienced with pompous pups, then Don may be the right fit for you!---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
This adorable lady is Tallulah! She came to the shelter as a stray and is now looking for her furever home. We suspect that she may have been a breeder dog, and has not enjoyed the pampered life she deserves. Tallulah is terrified in the kennel and flinches at touch, showing us that her past has not been kind. We want the best for her, and she needs an adopter who has experience with undersocialized/shutdown dogs. She is an older pup so it will take patience and dedication for her to learn how to be a furry family member. We don`t believe she has ever had any formal training, but she is food-motivated which should help. Tallulah has shown a little curiosity with other dogs and may benefit from having a canine companion to show her the ropes. As of right now, Tallulah does not know how to walk on a leash and honestly, the idea terrifies her so we think a fenced yard might be best! We don`t know how she feels about cats but she may do well with proper introduction. Due to her fearful nature, any children in the home should be 13 and older. She has a gentle spirit and potential to thrive if you`ll give her a chance.---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org
