Meet Scooter Scooter is an 8-year-old, 12-pound little survivor with the biggest heart you’ll ever meet. He’s neutered, fully past the wild puppy days, and just wants a soft place to land. Scooter was rescued from an abusive situation about six years ago. He came to safety with cigarette burns on his face and a small scar near his nose — tiny reminders of a past he didn’t deserve. But here’s the incredible thing… it didn’t break him. He is gentle. He is loving. He still believes in people. Scooter does have an old hind leg injury that gives him a bit of a unique little gait, but it doesn’t stop him from enjoying life. He’s not looking for marathons — just a comfy couch, a warm lap, and someone who will choose him forever. At 12 pounds, he’s the perfect compact companion. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and will quietly follow you from room to room, just happy to be near you. Scooter’s story could have ended very differently. Instead, he’s proof that resilience lives in the smallest bodies.
