Story
Dog Name: Lillie River Breed: Pomsky Sex: Female Age: 3.5 years old Weight: 30 pounds Medical Needs: None Housebroken: Yes Crate trained: Sleeps all night in crate in foster mom’s room. Does not like to be crated during the day and barks to show her dislike. I check her on my camera and eventually she settles down if she doesn’t hear anyone in the house. she needs a crate with a metal bottom because she will tear up a plastic tray and get out Good in the car: Yes she jumps right in. She’s crated when traveling. Good on a leash: She pulls a little because she loves being outside Energy level: Medium Need a fenced in yard: No but she likes to run around. She can jump a 4 foot fence and should never be left alone outside and closely supervised Dog Friendly: Yes. She came to rescue with her brother and also gets along with her foster sister. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No Cat Friendly? Lived with cats before coming to GRR Kid Friendly: Yes she loves my grandkids but does jump up to be petted. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any age with supervision Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Lillie River lived with one family her whole life but due to family circumstances her and her brother were surrendered to GRR. The adjustment was hard for her. She’s very loving and friendly but needs a patient adopter who works from home or is home most of the time. She is not for apartment living since her barking can be very loud at times. She will require regular brushing and occasional grooming to keep her fur shiny and beautiful. She would be happy to accompany you on walks or be your snuggle buddy on the sofa. Fosters Location: Salisbury Md Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app ##2685696##

Story
We prefer potential adopters to be within 1 hour drive of Claymont DE 19703. Oso (bear in Spanish), was surrendered because his original family could not provide him what he needed. We got “Oh so” and immediately made a vet appointment, we knew he needed to be neutered and dental surgery if his bloodwork was ok, so he was thoroughly checked and good to go. He is a totally different dog after 24 teeth were removed. I don’t think he notices his testies are gone, he is having so much fun chewing on bones, playing with toys and eating with no pain. He has the energy of a 5 year old dog, so not a typical low key senior dog. I would have named him Tigger bc he bounces so much. He just wants to be with his people. If foster mom is sitting, then Oso finds a spot close by to lay down. He loves to go on walks and car rides. He is crate trained too. He gets along with most of the other dogs, except a high energetic one yr old chi that's in everyone’s face. Oso has a very think coat so he will need to be brushed, and he loves it. His bark doesn’t match his size, you would think he was over 50 pounds if you heard his bark behind a closed door. He is very chatty so we will not home him in an apartment or condo. If you are interested in adopting this young at heart old man, please email us AOLanimalrescue@gmail.com. We do require a vet reference. If you do not have one we are willing to accept a family’s vet reference, with their permission.
