Story
Maggie Rose and Emma Rose are a bonded pair of gorgeous Pomeranian/Chihuahua. girls, who are nothing short of amazing. They have endured so much, but are absolutely thriving here at the rescue. After being found in a box, in park, with no food or water, they were brought to the shelter in bad shape. They were malnourished, thin, weak, covered in fleas, could barely walk, and had painful eye ulcers. Both girls also suffered prior trauma, Maggie to her lower back, and Emma to her back right leg. They were not spayed and Emma had 2 mammary tumors. Maggie Rose and Emma Rose have been at the rescue for over 2 years. They both came through big surgeries (spay/pyometra for Maggie, spay/mammary tumor removal for Emma), like champs. Both of Emma’s tumors were benign. They have gained weight, grown in beautiful coats, and are completely healed from their surgeries. They are not on any meds except eye drops for dry eye. Most importantly, they are very happy, sweet, energetic, and even spunky. They adore affection and attention, and give little kisses that will melt your heart. For such petite girls, they have big, fun, personalities, and have become trusting and playful. These terrific sisters are about 11-12 years old. Maggie is the larger at about 6 pounds, and Emma is about 5 pounds. They will need a fenced yard to go out, so they can each walk at their own pace and limited distances. They get along with other dogs, but any other pet at home must be gentle and easy going. Maggie and Emma love each other dearly, and are ready to share their love and zest for life with new parents.
