Story
Meet this tiny, senior queen with a big personality! You would never know this love bug was rescued as a senior from a nasty hoarding breeder. She is equal parts sweet and spunky, with a playful sparkle in her eyes and a whole lot of love to give. Whether she’s snuggled up for cuddles or trotting around with her signature sass, she brings joy and laughter wherever she goes. It’s hard to believe so much personality and love come out of this five pound ball of fluff! Penelope does have medical needs that are managed with medication. FurKids is planning to continue providing Penelope’s medical care (including food), so living local to the shelter will make her adopter’s life easier! While her medical care is not challenging, it does require daily attention. Penelope is mostly pee pad trained. She loves going for short walks, and has lived well with other small dogs. If you can’t wait to love this cuddle bug through her golden years, she will bring you plenty of joy in return! Penelope currently weighs about 7lbs., is almost 10 years old (est. birth date 07/02/2015), and her adoption fee is $85. Penelope is unable to be spayed due to her medical issues, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Penelope, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Onyx likes to run and play. He is very territorial and protective to people he knows l. He acts more like a watch protection dog. It takes him a while to warm up to strangers. Onyx is very fluffy, soft, and cuddly but he will not stay still long enough for cuddle at times. He is 1 years old and 3 months. Someone gave Onyx to my mother-in-law that got him from the La VA Quita Flea Market (November 2024). She became allergic along with her having other health issues.

Story
Mitch is a 3 year old, 26 lbs pomeranian mix who is house broken and does not chew on belongings. We adopted Mitch 3 months ago from a shelter. He came to us with kennel cough which quickly turned to pneumonia. Mitch was at the vet for 2 weeks. But he pulled through and was given a clean bill of health. After Mitchs health returned it became clear that Mitch most likely faced abuse at his previous home and has aggression issues as a result. He loves to play fetch and tug of war. He loves to go on walks and car rides. He loves treats and want to be near you at all times. However, he seems to have triggers that have resulted in bite incidents. Mitch gets very nervous at night. Especially if there are loud noises. He does not like to be picked up. And does much better with men than with women. The crate appears to be a very big trigger for Mitch as well. We have been working with a trainer and a vet. Mitch would do well in a single male home that could give him time and patience.
