Dutton is a tiny survivor with a big story and an even bigger heart. He was witnessed being dumped at a park on the Lake Traverse Reservation in South Dakota, but thanks to a quick-thinking Good Samaritan and our rescue partners, Dutton was brought to safety and given the chance he deserved. This little guy is estimated to be around 7 weeks old and currently weighs 3.4 pounds. With his striking blue eyes and the area he came from, we initially suspect a husky mix — and a DNA test has since been completed. While results will help guide us, any specific breed guess is just that… a guess. (Until the results come in!) Dutton will need some time, good nutrition, and lots of love as he grows and develops before he is ready for adoption. Dutton is all puppy — sweet, snuggly, and soaking up comfort after a rough start. For now, his days are filled with eating, sleeping, and learning what it means to be safe and loved. We can’t wait to watch this special boy grow and eventually find the forever family he deserves.
