Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. McFlurry: The Fluff, The Myth, The Legend Oh hey there. Did someone say “adorable panda bear”? Oh wait—it’s just me, McFlurry, stealing hearts and snacks since... well, basically always. I know, I know—you’re wondering how a literal panda escaped the zoo, learned how to smize like Tyra Banks, and ended up in your adoption feed. Spoiler alert: I’m actually a dog. I KNOW. Try to stay calm. So here’s the scoop. My foster mom decided I needed a little pizzazz—as if my fluffy, doughy physique wasn’t enough—and voilà: pet-safe dye magic. Now I’m rocking the black-and-white look and confusing wildlife experts and toddlers alike. Add some squishy rolls and boopable snoot, and I’m basically a celebrity in disguise. Let’s Talk Name: McFlurry Yes, like the ice cream. Sweet? Duh. A bit thick? Mind your business. Fluffy? I exceed industry standards. I’m on a fitness journey—slow and steady wins the race, right? Sure, I’ve indulged in one too many cookies (or...everything ever), but I’m embracing my glow-up era. And before you ask—yes, those bright blue eyes are real. No, you may not borrow them. They’re my weapon of choice for manipulating humans into giving me treats, belly rubs, or full control of the remote. Personality Breakdown: Vibes: Marshmallow with mild sass. Energy level: Part-time potato, full-time vibe curator. Hobbies: Being carried like royalty, judging you from the couch, avoiding downward stairs like they owe me money. Social skills: I vibe well with other pups, but let’s be honest—I’m the main character. Attitude: Unbothered. Unapologetic. Unleashed. Potty Confessions: The Dirty Truth Let’s just rip off the bandage: I’m stubborn. I pee on my schedule, not yours. Potty training? We’re in negotiations. Belly bands? I wear them like a statement piece. Now, about my tummy: it’s... fragile. Like, emotionally and physically. So yes—I poop. A lot. Stress? Poop. Excitement? Poop. Slight breeze in the air? Poop. It’s called consistency, people. But wait—there’s more. Let’s talk dingleberries. Yes, those awkward, horrifying, and clingy little nuggets of shame. Thanks to my plush backside and luxurious fluff, the ol’ #2 sometimes lingers in... unfortunate ways. You’ll need to do some rear-end maintenance. Trust me, neither of us is thrilled about it—but love means picking up the pieces. Literally. Consider it a bonding experience. The Royal Treatment, Please I came from a breeder situation, so this whole “house pet” gig is new. Couches? Magical. Kind humans? Suspiciously nice. Dental work? Done—I’ve got four teeth on top and somehow even more personality. I don’t do leashes. I don’t do stairs. I do expect a fenced yard and a personal elevator (fine, a human with arms). You carry me—I wave like royalty. Dealbreakers: Apartments. I poop too freely and too often for shared walls. Stairs. Not a fan. Not negotiable. People who aren’t ready to discuss dingleberries like adults. So here’s the deal: I’m dramatic, extra, slightly high-maintenance, and 100% worth it. If you’re into snuggly sassballs with panda cosplay and an honest-to-God poop issue, then congratulations—you’ve found your soul-dog. 🐾 Meet Jax! 🐾 Jax is an adorable 11-year-old Pomeranian/Yorkie mix weighing about 18 pounds — the perfect size for cuddles! This sweet senior boy has a gentle, loving nature and is looking for a home where he can share all his affection and charm. Jax is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash. When he needs to go outside, he’ll politely stand by the door to let you know. He loves to lounge in your lap, soak up attention, and watch his furry friends play. You’ll often find him perched on the back of the couch or exploring the yard, where he enjoys basking in the sunshine. He’s also an excellent little traveler — on car rides, Jax happily takes the front seat, gazing out the window and taking in the sights. Jax gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and people, making him a wonderful fit for almost any home. He also is pretty quiet and would do well in an apartment also. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and a calm, happy spirit, Jax is your guy. ❤️ Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org . Adoption fee is $350 plus tax.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Introducing PomPoms — The Fluffy Prince of Sass and Sunshine! Looking for a dog with the confidence of a lion, the fluff of a cloud, and the charm of a seasoned heart-stealer? Meet PomPoms, a pint-sized Pomeranian with a personality that is anything but small. PomPoms is the total Pomeranian package: he’s bold, opinionated, and totally devoted once he’s decided you’re his person. He loves to go on adventures — whether that means hopping in the car for a joyride or trotting around the neighborhood like he owns it (spoiler alert: he thinks he does). He thrives on attention, makes friends easily with both humans and other dogs, and has a surprising amount of pep packed into his tiny frame. He’s also a top-tier napper and can often be found sunbathing like a celebrity on vacation. But don’t let that cute little face fool you — PomPoms knows what he wants and he’s not afraid to express himself. He has very clear opinions about a few things in life: The Vet — hard no. If PomPoms has to go, he’ll need his foster mom there to hold his paw (and maybe whisper sweet nothings or offer cheese). He gets anxious and needs reassurance from someone he trusts. Clothes — double no. He is perfect in his natural state, thank you very much. Being Heard — absolutely. If something doesn’t meet PomPoms’ high standards, he’ll let you know with a side-eye or a solid bark of disapproval. PomPoms is not just a dog — he’s a presence. He’s the type of pup who forms a deep bond with his person, makes you laugh daily with his dramatic antics, and somehow turns the most mundane part of your day into something warm, funny, and sweet. He’d do well in a home that understands little dogs with big personalities — a family who’ll let him be the fabulous little weirdo he is, while also helping him feel safe when the world feels scary (like, say… during vet visits). He’s housetrained, loves companionship, and does best with people who respect his boundaries while still giving him structure and snuggles. In return, PomPoms promises to be your tiny shadow, your co-pilot on errands, your sunbathing buddy, and the ruler of your heart (and probably your couch). Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Yes, his name is Splinter. Like.. the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' wise sensei and father. Does he not look exactly like the character?!Splinter may be categorized as a senior at 10-ish years old, but he is as young at heart as those wily teenagers! He loves to play tug o' war with toys, going on walks, and constantly rolling over for belly rubs. (He does also enjoy many naps throughout the day - a jack of all trades, really.)He is hilariously vocal and will grumble or bark when he thinks you should be giving him all your attention. Splinter is also an excellent security system, so a home without shared walls (no apartments/townhomes) will be required. This 9-pound little dude currently lives with small dogs his size. He does well coexisting, but will also play if given the chance! His tail goes about a million miles per hour when excited! Big dogs are not part of the Splinter club, though.Splinter has met a couple of cats briefly and is willing to meet any resident cats to ensure all is well. This guy isn't a big fan of a lot of ruckus (unless he causes it), and he likes to ensure everyone knows when the food is his, not appreciating interference. Therefore, an older teen or a kid-free home would be best for him. His humans will need to advocate for people to meet him on his own terms. Once Splinter has surveyed the situation, he warms up for pets!Splinter knows to do his business outside and welcomes the treat he gets for doing so! He would prefer someone who is home more often, as he loves his humans - seriously, you will never be in the bathroom alone again, whether you want to be or not. If you don't know where Splinter is, he is probably right behind you or curled up in your laundry basket. He will cozy up on or near you, and his little toe tippy taps will steal your heart in an instant!**Splinter recently received a dental cleaning and extractions, so his teeth are sparkly clean! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $250. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
