Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. McFlurry: The Fluff, The Myth, The Legend Oh hey there. Did someone say “adorable panda bear”? Oh wait—it’s just me, McFlurry, stealing hearts and snacks since... well, basically always. I know, I know—you’re wondering how a literal panda escaped the zoo, learned how to smize like Tyra Banks, and ended up in your adoption feed. Spoiler alert: I’m actually a dog. I KNOW. Try to stay calm. So here’s the scoop. My foster mom decided I needed a little pizzazz—as if my fluffy, doughy physique wasn’t enough—and voilà: pet-safe dye magic. Now I’m rocking the black-and-white look and confusing wildlife experts and toddlers alike. Add some squishy rolls and boopable snoot, and I’m basically a celebrity in disguise. Let’s Talk Name: McFlurry Yes, like the ice cream. Sweet? Duh. A bit thick? Mind your business. Fluffy? I exceed industry standards. I’m on a fitness journey—slow and steady wins the race, right? Sure, I’ve indulged in one too many cookies (or...everything ever), but I’m embracing my glow-up era. And before you ask—yes, those bright blue eyes are real. No, you may not borrow them. They’re my weapon of choice for manipulating humans into giving me treats, belly rubs, or full control of the remote. Personality Breakdown: Vibes: Marshmallow with mild sass. Energy level: Part-time potato, full-time vibe curator. Hobbies: Being carried like royalty, judging you from the couch, avoiding downward stairs like they owe me money. Social skills: I vibe well with other pups, but let’s be honest—I’m the main character. Attitude: Unbothered. Unapologetic. Unleashed. Potty Confessions: The Dirty Truth Let’s just rip off the bandage: I’m stubborn. I pee on my schedule, not yours. Potty training? We’re in negotiations. Belly bands? I wear them like a statement piece. Now, about my tummy: it’s... fragile. Like, emotionally and physically. So yes—I poop. A lot. Stress? Poop. Excitement? Poop. Slight breeze in the air? Poop. It’s called consistency, people. But wait—there’s more. Let’s talk dingleberries. Yes, those awkward, horrifying, and clingy little nuggets of shame. Thanks to my plush backside and luxurious fluff, the ol’ #2 sometimes lingers in... unfortunate ways. You’ll need to do some rear-end maintenance. Trust me, neither of us is thrilled about it—but love means picking up the pieces. Literally. Consider it a bonding experience. The Royal Treatment, Please I came from a breeder situation, so this whole “house pet” gig is new. Couches? Magical. Kind humans? Suspiciously nice. Dental work? Done—I’ve got four teeth on top and somehow even more personality. I don’t do leashes. I don’t do stairs. I do expect a fenced yard and a personal elevator (fine, a human with arms). You carry me—I wave like royalty. Dealbreakers: Apartments. I poop too freely and too often for shared walls. Stairs. Not a fan. Not negotiable. People who aren’t ready to discuss dingleberries like adults. So here’s the deal: I’m dramatic, extra, slightly high-maintenance, and 100% worth it. If you’re into snuggly sassballs with panda cosplay and an honest-to-God poop issue, then congratulations—you’ve found your soul-dog. Story
Meet Nori, a beautiful 3-year-old Pomeranian–Husky mix with a soft heart and a gentle soul. This fluffy girl may be a little shy when you first meet her, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into a loyal and loving companion. Nori tends to feel most comfortable with women and bonds with them the quickest. She can absolutely coexist peacefully with men, but she may need a little extra time and gentle reassurance to fully relax. Once she feels safe with her female owner, her sweet personality shines through — from her quiet affection to the way she stays close to the people she trusts most. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys being outside. With her striking Pomeranian fluff and Husky charm, Nori turns heads wherever she goes — but it’s her gentle spirit that truly makes her special. If you’re willing to give her the patience she deserves, Nori will reward you with unwavering loyalty and a bond that’s truly one of a kind. 💛 She loves to cuddle on the couch. Nori is good with cats and other dogs of all sizes and age. She has seen chickens and horses and had no reaction. She is crate trained and potty trained. Please note: Nori's new he must be within 1.5 hours of Alma, WI. To apply to adopt, visit tailsofhopewi.org. Please note donations using the SPONSOR ME tab on PetFinder will not go to Tails of Hope-WI.

Story
Daisy is a great cuddler. She also loves her walks and playtime outside. She is 4 years old. She is house broke but not kennel trained. She dislikes the kennel very much. She is the love of my life and it breaks my heart that I have to tehome her do to health issues. She's great in the car. Think she would do ok with cats and other small dogs. Good with kids as long as they don't get too rough and accidentally hurt her. Likes to sleep in bed with you. She's not really a bed hog tho. She will be your best friend and support you will ever need. She has been for me.

Story
Seeking an Adopter, Foster or Foster-to-Adopt Home Jerry is a tiny dog with a huge mind. At just 8 lbs, he is "delightful" and "sensitive," but he’s also a bit of a puzzle that needs the right person to solve it. Jerry is currently looking for a patient, savvy home that understands the complexity of a smart, anxious dog. The Highlights: - The "Circus" Dog: Jerry is incredibly smart. He knows "Sit," "Spin," and a very impressive "Sit Pretty." He loves to learn and will stay engaged in training for several minutes at a time. - A Lap Dog (On His Terms): Jerry loves to be near his people and will happily sit in your lap! He just needs a "consent-based" relationship where he can ask for pets and take breaks when he feels overstimulated. - Small But Mighty: He is a classic Pomeranian—vigilant, active, and very aware of his surroundings. Jerry’s Unique Needs: Jerry views the world through a lens of "conflict." He wants to be involved, but he gets frustrated or anxious when he’s unsure of what to do. - Tactile Sensitivity: Jerry is very sensitive to touch. He’ll even flinch if a treat crumb lands on his fur! He does best with "consent testing"—petting him for 10–15 seconds, then pausing to see if he asks for more. - Frustration "Chains": When Jerry wants something (like a treat) but doesn't know how to get it, he might spin, bow, or hop on three legs. He needs a calm leader who can help him "reset" and relax. - Safety & Boundaries: Jerry can be reactive to children and some strangers. Because of his history, he needs an adult-only home. - Grooming: As a Pomeranian, his beautiful coat requires brushing and professional grooming every 6–8 weeks to stay mat-free and comfortable. Compatibility: - Dogs: Jerry can live with other dogs, but structured introductions are a must to ensure a good match. - Cats: Unknown. - Children: No (Jerry reacts to children and needs an adult-only environment). Jerry was returned to the rescue after a bite incident in his previous home. However, since being in a structured training environment, he has had zero bites. By using consistent routines and "consent testing," Jerry has shown he can be a safe, successful companion when his boundaries are respected. ---------------------------------- -Jerry's adoption fee is $350 + MN sales tax. - You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website: https://smalldogsminnesota.org/adoption-application/ - Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philosophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, it must be charged. - Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you. - You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request. - A healthy pet is a happy pet! Story
Opportunity Arises (OA) is a mellow, gentle soul who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be outside of a breeding facility. True to his nickname, OA loves relaxing in his favorite spot by the fireplace and enjoys the calm companionship of his foster dog friend, Willy. OA is learning all sorts of “dog things” for the very first time. He happily goes outside and has even started doing a cute little twirl when he hears, “Do you want to go outside?” He follows Willy’s lead, though coming back inside is still a work in progress—and that’s okay. Everything is new to him. He eats twice a day with no food aggression, is gentle with his toys, and has been perfect in the house so far—no accidents at all! OA is quiet and docile; his foster has only heard him bark a couple of times, and only while outside. As he gains confidence, we believe he’ll show more of his playful side. Because OA is a retired breeding dog, life in a home is brand new. Stairs, leashes, potty training, and fast-moving objects can be scary for him. He currently will do 2 stairs to go outside but can not do a flight of stairs. He is not leash trained at all and at 31 pounds, he may need to be carried. He is making progress, but patience and understanding will be key as he continues to adjust. OA will require another dog in the home to help guide him and give him confidence, as well as a securely fenced yard. A calm, predictable environment will help him blossom into the sweet companion he’s meant to be. We have not seen him around cats. OA has only been out of the breeding facility for a short time, but his gentle heart is already shining through. With time, love, and the right home, Opportunity Arises truly lives up to his name. 👉 Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org 💙 Adoption fee: $350 + tax

Story
Meet Waldo- this handsome Pomsky who is ready for his fresh start and forever home. 💙 He is a friendly boy who enjoys the company of other dogs and does well with cats, too. Having furry friends around helps him feel safe and confident, and he would thrive in a home with another dog to show him the ropes. He absolutely loves to play and run around, and once he feels comfortable, his fun and playful personality really shines. He is still learning to love and fully trust people. While he may be a little shy at first, he truly wants to connect and is making steady progress every day. With patience, kindness, and a gentle routine, he blossoms more and more. Waldo is a breeder release. He is currently working on potty training and leash training, and he’ll need a patient family committed to continuing his progress. A calm home that understands he may need time to adjust will be the perfect fit. He will need a home with a fence and another dog to show him the ropes. In return, he promises a lifetime of quiet devotion and unconditional love. Once he trusts you, he will pay your patience back tenfold with sweetness, loyalty, and a heart full of love.
