Meet Gomez, a 13 year old 19 pound Pomeranian.  This sweet guy is looking for his hopefully forever home. Gomez was adopted from Needy Paws as a 5 year old back in 2018 to what he thought was his forever home. But sadly his adopter abandoned him 8 years later as he was found roaming around by himself in a field in Jefferson County and taken to animal control where we happily reclaimed him. His owner was contacted but never reclaimed him.   Gomez is a great dog who has been through a lot, he lost his home, he lost most of his beautiful fluffy hair due to a much-needed grooming, but don’t worry it’s growing back, he’s lost his hearing most likely to old age and he recently lost most of his remaining teeth due to neglect.  He has a few back teeth left and this has not affected his eating.    Gomez is pretty healthy and happy for an old guy, with just the normal aches and pains of an elderly dog due to some arthritis in his legs. He does sometimes have a slight cough due to a slightly softened trachea, but otherwise no other symptoms. He gets along fine, just more slowly than a younger dog. He would do best in a home with few to no stairs and with someone who is home a lot. He’s great with the other small dogs and cats in his foster home. Gomez will need to go to a home with a fenced in yard, no exceptions.   He is potty trained and will let you know when it’s time to go outside to potty.  He does like spending time in the yard just walking around and checking things out so he will need a fence.  Most of all he loves snoozing in his dog bed.    This little man is extremely sweet and deserves to find a home that appreciates all his good qualities. His foster knows his perfect home is out there. Gomez’s adoption fee is $150.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Prince is a sweet 1-year-old, 10-pound Merle Pomeranian with the prettiest blue eyes you’ve ever seen! This little guy is happiest when he’s with his person. He loves following you around, curling up in your lap, and giving lots of kisses. Prince is working on potty training and is doing well walking on a leash. He does fine with or without a fenced yard, but he absolutely loves running and playing outside. Sarah is ready for a fresh start! She recently came from a crowded living situation which means everything about living in a traditional home is brand new to her. Right now the world feels a bit scary but under that shy exterior is a gentle heart. Since she is still learning the ropes, her new family will need to help her understand housebreaking, how to play with toys, ask for pets, and walk well on a leash. She is a flight risk. Watching a confident resident dog would help her realize that humans can be trusted. If you have the time, love, and patience to watch a dog blossom at their own pace, come meet Sarah today!
