Story
Please contact the Dog Team (dogcoordinator@graspinc.org) for more information about this pet.DOB: 3/1/21 Meet 20lb, Pomsky Pippa.    Pippa is an active girl who loves to zoom zoom around the backyard! She is looking for a family with a securely fenced yard so she can enjoy the freedom she craves while exploring.     Pippa has turned into a very dog friendly dog. She’s currently fostered with dogs of all sizes and loves to wrestle and zoom with her friends. She’s also gentle with smaller dogs, and gives appropriate corrections to dogs when they need it. Pippa is affectionate, loves to follow her people around, soaks up affection like a sponge, is very curious, food motivated, good on car rides, and she's A LOT of fun to throw toys to and play with…HOWEVER, she is also snippy if you’re trying to get her to do something she doesn’t want to do before a bond is formed. She is not a dog for an inexperienced person, and she will require time and patience. She is doing wonderful in her foster home, we think she’s highly adoptable, but she needs a leader or else she may run your home. Pippa does have an off switch after a little play time, she settles in nicely for naps and sleeps through the night.     Absolutely no children or apartments for Pippa.      Her adoption fee is $350.    April 25, 2024, 10:35 pm

Story
Frankie was born around August 1, 2016 and weighs about 12 pounds, he's more fluff than anything.  He keeps his girlish figure by enjoying many fruits and veggies and apples and carrots are some of his favorite.  Joyful received an email asking for help in the Rochester area with a home that had 40+ dogs.   The humans started taking in dogs that no one wanted and after a few years, they became overwhelmed and asked for help.  Joyful agreed to step up and here are the Penfield 20! Frankie is the type of dog that has never met a stranger he doesn't love to pieces and is one really happy boy!  Frankie rides well in the car and walks fine on a leash. We did a dental on Frankie but like so many small breed dogs you will likely have to do more in the future. He may be a little bit older but you would never know. If you say his name all silly and hold your arms out he will jump up for you to catch him!  These dogs came from a situation where it didn't matter where they went potty so please understand you will have some work to do on house training and we often suggest potty pads for tiny dogs with tiny bladders. We have found Frankie has too much interest in cats to live with any.   It's time for Frankie to live the life he has always deserved!   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link "Special Instructions to Seller" if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html. Story
The Kramer family has chosen to sponsor the costs of transport and medical care for the 17 Walworth dogs as a Christmas gift in honor of all our fur babies we have lost over the years and all my friends' fur babies that have also crossed the Rainbow Bridge - none will ever be forgotten.  Our Christmas wish is that each of the Walworth-furred ones find loving homes where they are cherished. Merry Christmas sweet Pups!  Love, Cheryl, Dave, Ryan, and Cassie Kramer     Cowboy was born around December 4, 2019 and weighs about 15 pounds.  Joyful received a message asking for help in the Rochester area with a home that had 30 dogs.   The humans started taking in dogs that no one wanted and after a few years, they became overwhelmed and asked for help.  Cowboy is just a teensy bit shy at first but then quickly becomes a happy, kissy, lover!  Cowboy rides well in the car and walks fine on a leash.  You will have some work to do on house training and we often suggest potty pads for tiny dogs with tiny bladders.  Cowboy is wonderful with all of the other dogs and is an absolute joy!  Sadly, he does have too much interest in live with any.   Foster mom update:  Cowboy is a very happy boy who came right into our yard, introduced himself to the other dogs here, and was ready to play.He loves to run around the yard with them playing with their toys and chasing each other. He does bark a little bit when outside, at what we don't know but its not too much. He is wonderful with the humans here to.He follows us around and loves it when we come outside and play with him. He's a nice lap dog but will also pick out a dog bed and take a nap in it.Preferably close to his human. He loves to go for walks and gets excited and dances around when he sees the leash come out.The potty training has been figured out. When he first arrived there was some marking going on so out came the belly band! After a week or so that seemed to stop and he is now using the potty pads or going outside. He is very good for his baths. He is a little whiney for car rides but after a few minutes settles down. As I write this I look down and Cowboy is resting by me with another one of the dogs here. He is a good boy who would like a home of his own and he will make someone very happy. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $600.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations.
