Story
Hi, I`m Benny! I`m a 4-year-old Pomeranian with a fluffy coat, a happy heart, and a voice that`s... well...Let`s just say I never miss an opportunity to express myself.I came to the shelter through no fault of my own after my owner was unfortunately incarcerated and their family wasn`t able to care for me. It was a sad change, but now I`m ready to find a new family to love.If you meet me, you`ll quickly discover that I`m about as sweet as they come. I love people, I love attention, and I think every day is a good day to make a new friend.I also happen to have a very enthusiastic singing voice. For such a little dog, I can make some impressively big announcements! Whether I`m greeting visitors, sharing my opinions, or simply joining the neighborhood conversation, I like to make sure my voice is heard. Some people call it barking.I prefer to think of it as performance art.Benny is looking for a family that appreciates all the wonderful things about Pomeranians—including their big personalities and even bigger voices. If you`re searching for a quiet, invisible little dog, I might not be your guy. But if you`re looking for a loyal companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and maybe even convince you to sing along every now and then, I`d love to meet you. After all, every great duet needs two performers.Benny is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $650.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Benny will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption. If you`d like to meet him please visit, we`re conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus. We`re open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm.Benny can`t wait to meet you!Sean Casey Animal Rescue153 E. 3 St.between Ft Hamilton Pkwy & Caton AveBrooklyn, NY 11218adoptions@nyanimalrescue.orgNYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Registration No. RR160

Story
🐾 Little 7 month old TATER TOT was surrendered along with her mother, and a new litter of puppies who were being born as we took them in, because the family was getting buried in dogs and unable to care for their basic needs, much less any vetting, and asked for help in stopping the cycle. We're getting parents altered, getting all dogs vetted and up to date and on prevention, and little Tater Tot is now vetted except for her spay which we've got her on the schedule for an is included in her adoption fee. Her foster reports she is the sweetest little thing, but is absolutely a velcro dog who wants to be wherever people are. She's never encountered stairs before so is learning those and is also getting used to the outside. She also has some knee problems in her back legs, and it's recommended she get surgery for that once she's about a year old. We can talk to interested people about that, but that will be completely covered by the rescue at our vet hospital. 👉 Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months, alter and chip will occur after they're 6 months, covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). If the dog is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule ASAP (normally within 30 days) at our clinic . We also provide as an incentive a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes. Adoption also includes lifetime support of the rescue. 💜 Please click PURPLE BUTTON above to apply or go to www.secondhanddogrescue.com/apply and be sure to choose their name from the dropdown to expedite your application!! ✍ APPLICATION PROCESSING: We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely volunteer foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. 📌 IMPORTANT NOTES: ** Housetraining with rescues is sometimes a work in progress and even if a dog is 100% in a foster's home, it should be expected there will be an adjustment period as a dog adapts to a new environment. This is even more true if the dog has not by chance had their altering appointment at time of adoption. ** Also, we highly recommend some form of 2-week shutdown and decompression for dogs going to a new home for best results. --> Lastly, breed guesses in rescue are just that (GUESSES!!) 99.9% of the time. We do not do DNA testing and our breed guesses are based on appearance and sometimes other traits, but we know the dog breed guessing game is a fool's errand even for those with LOTS of experience. 🗺 ADOPTION AREA: several hour radius of Rochester, NY (Canada within 3 hours IS allowed, except that young puppies need to be old enough to have gotten their rabies vaccination to cross the border - usually around 16 weeks)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Say hello to Ninja! This adorable 3–4‑year‑old PomChi weighs just about 7 pounds — light as a feather! Ninja came to us when his owner’s life changed and they had to make the difficult decision to give up this precious boy. We know he was well cared for and loved, and now he’s ready to find his next forever home. Ninja is a happy, affectionate little guy who loves being close to his people. He often sits behind his foster mom while she works, and when she’s up and moving, he’s never far away — just in case she wants to scoop him up for a cuddle! He’s great with other dogs and enjoys playtime, especially outdoors on sunny days. His foster mom says the cutest thing about Ninja is how he sleeps on his back — it’s absolutely adorable! He’s leash trained and loves going for walks. He rides beautifully in the car and is always up for a trip to Tim Hortons for a coffee and a Timbit. Ninja is crate trained, recently groomed, and will need regular grooming maintenance throughout his life. Luckily, he enjoys bath time and being brushed, so he’s easy to keep looking his best. Ninja has lived with kids in the past and did wonderfully. Ninja now neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. He’s also had a mini dental with an extraction and cleaning, so his smile is as bright as his personality. His adoption fee $500 If you’re looking for a small dog with a big heart who loves people, sunshine, and snuggles, Ninja might just be your perfect match. We require a martingale collar at the time of adoption. If you do not have one, you may purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10 to ensure Teddy’s safety and security. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 31, 2026, 9:49 am

Story
Birthdate:  01/01/2022Breed: One of a kindWeight:   7lbsMeet Dutchess, the definition of pocket-sized perfection! With her stunning heterochromia eyes, she's guaranteed to capture your heart the moment you see her. While Dutchess may take a little time to warm up to new people, she's well worth the wait. Give her the chance to make the first move, and you'll have a loyal best friend for life. Once she trusts you, her favorite place to be is curled up beside you in the coziest spot she can find. If you're looking for a sweet, snuggly companion with a one-of-a-kind look and an even more special personality, Dutchess is your girl! The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://www.pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire . If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. July 31, 2026, 2:23 am

Story
Hi! I am Panda, the perfect 4 year old 11 pound Pomeranian! Please excuse my haircut- I needed a bit of a short cut- but it’s already growing back. I am always ready for any type of fun you want to have. Let’s go for a hike! Let’s take a walk around the block! Let’s play with some toys! Let’s sunbathe outside! Let’s snuggle on the couch! I’m really just the all-around best friend you’ve been looking for. I enjoy meeting new people and love playing with doggie friends too. I’m a super easy and “go with the flow” kind of dog that’s just happy to be loved and included in all the great things life has to offer. I don’t mean to brag, but, I also walk well on a leash and I’m crate trained and house trained! So what are you waiting for….I told you….PERFECT!!! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
