  Sweet, Gentle, & Emotional   My name is Harrison, and I’m a 7-month-old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix hoping to find the forever family who can give me the life my heart is ready for. I’m a petite 14 pounds now and will probably end up around 16 pounds as an adult—just the right size to hold close.   I was adopted as a tiny puppy by an elderly woman and her adult daughter who loved me with their whole hearts. But life has changed in ways none of us expected, and they can no longer keep up with my needs. They’ve cared for me the best they could, but walks, training, and outdoor potty routines became too difficult. I’ve been using pee pads inside simply because they had no other option.   They made the brave, loving decision to ask Critter Cavalry Rescue for help, and now I’m hoping for a home with people who are active, gentle, and ready to help me learn. I’m still young and eager—ready for walks, playtime, backyard exploring, and adventures. Sammie is a 13 year old pomeranian mix who found himself in need of a new beginning after his beloved owner passed away. Despite the big change in his life, Sammie's gentle spirit has remained unchanged-he absolutely adores attention and loves being close to his people.   This handsome little guy is currently working on a weight-loss journey in his foster home. Because he's a bit overweight, his ideal family will be moderately active and committed to helping him stay mobile and comfortable as he ages. Daily walks, light playtime, and a healthy routine will go a long way in supporting his joints and overall well-being   Sammie has so much love to give and is eager to spend his golden years in a home where he can feel safe, cherished, and included. **PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION!!** 11-9-25: "Hello everyone, my name is TEDDI, and I do thank you for stopping to read all about me! Well, let's start with how I got here, to this great rescue! I had the best home a doggie could ask for, and everything I needed or wanted, was happily given to me! I loved my family and they loved me, but they had a small grandchild, and we found out that I need a home with no small children. I didn't mean any harm to the child, and I was put in a crate on the porch and not allowed back inside. Now, you know it's November and in the NC mountains, it starts to get really cold, and it wouldn't have been good for me, so they contacted my Foster Mom, and here I am! Now that's my backstory, here's my details: I am about 13 years old, have all my vaccines, am neutered, chipped and HW-! I might add that I was HW+ when my family adopted me, so I kicked the heart worms to the curb!! My current weight is about 27 pounds, and I do need to lose a few of those pounds, so walks would be great for me, and some great bonding time with us together too! I am good with other dogs, but cats unknown, and once again, I need a home with no small children. Now if you fall in love with me and have small ones that come around, just put me in my crate, I won't mind one bit! My crate is always clean and dry!
