Story
Midnight is a 5 year and 2 month old Pomeranian weighing 10 pounds. He came to the shelter as an owner surrender. This pup needs time, and a lot of it. Time to learn to trust, time to adjust, time to heal. A quiet home with an experienced adopter would be ideal. Midnight has slowly started to come out of his shell and show us his personality after being here at the shelter for over 5 weeks. Midnight can be fearful of everything, he'll watch, bright eyed and trembling in fear. You can scoop him up, once you catch him, move to fast and you'll be running around in circles. He'll quietly sit in your lap and he allows you to brush him and did well with the groomer. He has no idea how to walk on a leash and will need housebreaking. He is true to his breed and can be sassy and bark a lot. Good with other dogs and cats. Regular grooming required, weekly brushings in between professional grooming appointments. Midnight has been diagnosed with a grade 4 Luxating patella, surgery is not necessary at this time but may be needed in the future. His adoption fee is $250, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!
