You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kong is a incredibly sweet pom/ chi mix who cae into rescue as a result of a hoarding situation.  Would do well as an only pet to wallow in being the center of attention or would do well with other calm pets.  Children over the age of 10.  Physical fence required.  Has not been tested with cats.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.   Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.   Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.   MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Meet Mac 💙 Mac is a sweet, gentle boy who may take a little time to warm up to new people, but he’s a big fan of other animals and settles in best with patience and kindness. Once he feels comfortable, Mac’s true personality shines—he’s affectionate, playful, and happiest when he’s by his person’s side. He thrives on companionship and enjoys being involved in daily life. Because Mac doesn’t love being left alone, he will need to be safely crated when unsupervised to prevent him from getting into mischief or snacking on things he shouldn’t. With the right home that understands his needs, Mac will make a loyal, loving companion. - Around 8 months old - Currently 25lbs - Good with cats and dogs - Prefers calmer kids - Adoption fee: $300 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours, no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. If you have questions or want to possibly schedule an appointment on one of our closed days, you may email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.
