Pomeranian puppies and dogs in Sutton West, Ontario

Ollie and Lulu were surrendered to us when their owner no longer had the time to care for them. They both had untreated medical issues and severe dental disease, leaving them extremely uncomfortable and lethargic. After receiving treatment they became almost entirely different dogs. Ollie and Lulu may be seniors but they sure do like to go for walks and run around the yard together. They are a volunteer favourite because of their goofy and sweet dispositions. They are selective with dogs and would only do well in a home with another calm dog that does not intimidate or become rough with them. Ollie does bark at other dogs in passing, while Lulu ignores them. Ollie and Lulu would do well in just about any home. They have been great with respectful children that are experienced with dogs. Lulu can sometimes have grumpy moments when she wants her space to nap. It's important to look for the obvious signs when she needs alone time. Ollie is always happy and ready for a cuddle. This cute duo have great house manners, they frequently go on sleepovers with our dedicated volunteers who report they are always on their best behaviour.

Jag is being fostered in Kingston Ontario. Jag is an 8 year old, 15 pound, spayed, house and crate trained, female Pomeranian mix.  Her coat is cloud-soft but has shown no tendencies to mat so she always looks beautiful. Jag would do best in a quiet household with a person home most of the time.  She is well-behaved in the home and not destructive although she will shred tissues if she finds one. She requires a detached home with a private, fully fenced yard.  True to her breed mix, Jag is very sensitive to noises she hears while inside and outside the home.  She will alarm bark when startled by random noises and it can take her a bit of time to regain her calm.   As a result, we will not consider applications with shared walls for her.  She is low-energy, liking outside but mainly sniffing the grass rather than walking very far. She's generally fine with passing cars and people who don’t try to approach her but will bark at dogs and is not eager to befriend any.  She has also never lived with another dog or cat and we are hoping for a home without other animals for her. Jag will bark at visitors who come to the home and it does take her some time to feel comfortable with new people.  Once she is comfortable, she loves to cuddle and is happiest when sitting with her people on the couch with hands stroking her.  An adult only home where her routines are calm and predictable would best bring out her sweet personality. I’m a sweet, gentle girl with fluffy white fur, adorable pink ears, a pleasantly round little body, and a beautiful smiling face. I can be cautious around unfamiliar people at first, and in some situations I may bark quite a bit when someone new appears. But my uncertainty tends to disappear quickly—sometimes treats are all it takes to get our friendship started! I’ve even approached people I’ve just met to ask for affection, and I can usually become comfortable within a day. Once you start petting me, there’s a very good chance I’ll roll right over and show you my belly. I do this often when I’m enjoying affection, and I’ve even been known to lie down in the middle of a walk when someone stops to pet me. During an outdoor photo session I was initially unsure of everything, but once I was brought inside and given some gentle pets, I immediately rolled onto my back and relaxed. I may need a moment to feel safe, but there’s a wonderfully affectionate girl waiting just underneath that initial hesitation. I’m naturally very soft-natured, though, and even when I’m sharing treats alongside other dogs, I haven’t shown any tendency to guard the food.
