***REMINDER:  Please read the bio requirements and only fill in the application if you can meet ALL requirements. Due to the number of applications being received for each dog, we are only able to contact the applicants who have met ALL the listed Requirements*** Name/Tag#: Dolly 4463 Age: 6 yrs old Sex/Altered: Female/Spayed Weight: 16lb Breed: Pomeranian Foster Home Location:  PENETANGUISHENE, ON Adoption Fee:  $700.00 Temperament: Sweet, playful Activity/Energy Level: Low Up to date on Shots: Yes Housebroken: Working on it Crate Trained: Sleeps in a crate at night Ok with Dogs: Yes Ok with Cats: Unknown but probably fine Ok with Kids: Yes, quiet, respectful kids over 6 years Origin: Mass breeding facility Requirements: Securely fenced yard, someone home most of the time, a companion dog in the home, mill dog experience an asset, no kids under 6   And now, a few words from me: Ahhhh, so far retirement suits me well. I am having no trouble at all adapting to the easy life. I eat. I sleep, play with toys then I eat and I sleep some more. I'm not too barky, but I must confess, I haven't shown my full personality yet. When I do, you will see me dance and prance and play. I could really use a fur companion in the house; a nice doggy who can show me what to do ‘cause I’m just a little sponge soaking it all in. I'd make a great companion for somebody who works from home or who is retired. I love hanging around my people, and I'm still working on learning to do my business outside so I need encouragement with that. No need to worry about too many future dental expenses for me. I only have 6 teeth! My foster mama is really sweet and she's soaks my food in water overnight so I can still eat kibble.   And now, a few words from my foster mom:   Dolly is a very sweet, loving ball of poof. She likes to be around people and she’ll follow you everywhere you go. I think Dolly is an indoor dog. She doesn’t really like going outside. We’ve tried walking her on a leash, and she just sat there. She will need some time and patience to work on this. Dolly is very much influenced by the dogs that are around her, so she’s going to need a stable companion dog in her forever home to show her how to do things the right way. Dolly’s beautiful mane will require regular upkeep and daily brushing, which she tolerates very well. She also needs a fenced area to learn to do her potty business, especially as she is adverse so far to walking on a leash. She inconsistently uses pee pads as well. Dolly is cute, sweet, and a little stubborn. She’s really just starting to learn how to have fun. She’s going to make a great addition to someone’s home. Questions? After her rescue, she stayed at a local shelter, but she was often overlooked simply because she was no longer a young puppy. During her time there, no one showed interest in her. When we heard her story, we believed that a sweet and beautiful girl like Sofie deserved so much more, and that her forever family was still out there waiting for her. Sofie later moved to our partner boarding house where she now lives with other dogs and peacefully coexists with them.Personality and SocializationSofie has a moderate energy level and a gentle, sweet nature. She is a calm and lovely girl who is easy to be around. She may feel a little shy at first for a few hours, but she warms up quickly and begins to show her soft, affectionate side. She greets both people and other dogs in a quiet and friendly way. Sofie enjoys staying close to her people and finds comfort in calm, peaceful companionship. With other dogs, Sofie is polite and respectful. She lives harmoniously and prefers smaller, gentle companions. She is not very interested in active or physical play, but she enjoys lounging and simply being together in a relaxed way.BehaviourSofie has not shown signs of separation anxiety. She is calm during vet visits and walks nicely on leash. She does well during baths and travels comfortably in the car. She is trained to use pee pads and has not shown any destructive habits. She is generally quiet and has a very relaxed nature.Health and DietSofie is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. When she was first rescued, she had patellar luxation and a hernia, both of which have been treated. She has recovered nicely and is now healthy and ready for her forever home. Sofie eats kibble and is doing well on her current food.Ideal HomeSofie is a gentle and easy companion who does not ask for much. She can settle well into many types of homes. What matters most is a family who can spend time with her and not leave her alone for long hours. She is a loving little girl who truly enjoys staying close to her people. Sofie has a quiet, warm affection that makes her very special, and the family who brings her home will gain a deeply devoted companion.**Note: Currently, Sofie is in Korea, but will arrive in Toronto once she is adopted. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link.

Story
Current Foster Location: Athens, ON MONTY IS CURRENTLY ON MEDICAL HOLD AND NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED UNTIL HE IS CLEARED Hi, I’m Monty — a sensitive little Pom with a big personality. I love being close to my person, whether that’s following you around the house, hanging out in the yard, or curling up for snuggles on the couch. I’m house trained, enjoy the company of small dogs, and I’m indifferent to cats. Big dogs, though? A bit too much for me — I’ll bark to let them know! I’m vocal (no apartments, please), and I need an experienced Pom owner who understands that I’m a cat in a dog’s body: independent, opinionated, but very loyal. With time, structure, and patience, I’ll show you my sweetest self. I just need someone who lets me decompress, respects my boundaries, and helps me feel safe when the world feels overwhelming.

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster home Bori is a mature, gentle girl who spent a long time in a shelter before being rescued. She is the kind of dog whose presence is so quiet that you might not even notice she’s there— soft, calm, and unobtrusive. She rarely barks and enjoys simply staying close to her person. From the very first moment you meet her, she’s the kind of dog who makes you think, “I just want to hold her.” Bori’s personality is pure gentleness. She is calm, well-mannered, and never disruptive to the atmosphere of a home. She stays quietly by your side, which somehow makes you care for her even more, with a tender feeling in your heart. One important note: Bori tends to chase cats, so a home without cats would be best for her. In a new environment, she may have a few potty accidents at first due to nervousness. With a little time and patience, she will adjust and gradually settle in. Bori doesn’t ask for much. A quiet space, a patient person, and a family willing to spend calm, unhurried time together is all she needs. She isn’t overly affectionate or demanding, but just having her nearby is comforting in itself. That’s the kind of dog Bori is. She is no longer looking to be alone— she is waiting for a family who will stay quietly by her side, just as she will for them. 🐾🤍
