Story
One of the cutest, smallest dogs on the planet describes Gidget! Gidget was 11 weeks old when she arrived at Poquita Paws Rescue. She is now 14 weeks old and weighs 4#. She is a Pomeranian/ Chihauhau mix or a Pomchi as the breeders like to advertise. She got more of the precious and smart Chihauhau than Pomeranian. Gidget loves to sleep with our 10-year-old male Chi with multiple medical issues, or our ancient blind female Shih Tzu. When she is not resting, she is doing what puppies do. Gidget plays with various toys, chews on something she should not but quickly moves on when caught or takes up a game of chase with 2 or 3 dogs who outweigh her 3 to 1. She is working on housebreaking and doing OK. Gidget has age-appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, wormed and has been evaluated by the vet. She will be spayed by Poquita Paws when bigger and older so your job if you take her home is to love her and grow her! Please fill out an application found on the site below.

Story
They were so small when the world first turned its back on them — fragile bodies pressed together, fighting to stay warm, fighting to stay alive. Every breath felt uncertain. Every whimper carried the quiet fear of being forgotten. They entered life already knowing hardship, their tiny hearts beating against odds no newborn ever should face. When they were rescued, they were hanging in that delicate space between hope and heartbreak. Weak, vulnerable, and desperately clinging to one another, they trusted the gentle hands that lifted them to safety. And from that moment on, their story began to change.Day by day, those once-faint cries turned into playful squeaks. Their trembling steps grew steadier. Bellies that once ached with hunger filled, and their eyes — once heavy with exhaustion — began to shine with curiosity. You could almost see the relief settle into their tiny bodies as they learned what it felt like to be safe. Now, these little fighters burst with life. They tumble over each other in joyful chaos, tails wagging like they’re trying to outrun the sadness they once knew. They chase toys with fearless determination, give kisses with complete trust, and curl up together with the soft sighs of puppies who finally understand comfort. But beneath their playful energy lives the memory of how hard they fought to get here. These are not just puppies — they are tiny miracles who refused to give up. Their hearts are enormous, overflowing with the kind of love that only comes from knowing what it feels like to almost lose everything. They are ready now. Ready to trade survival for belonging. Ready to leave behind the chapter that nearly stole their story and step into homes where they will be cherished, protected, and adored. All they ask for is a family willing to see the warriors inside these small, wiggly bodies — and to promise them that they will never have to fight alone again.

Story
✨ Meet Sabrina ✨ Sabrina is a 4-year-old, 8.5-pound Pomeranian mix with the softest heart you’ll ever meet. Once upon a time, she was treated like a burden and left outside alone most of the time. But here’s the beautiful part — she didn’t let that hard chapter define her. 💛 Once Sabrina realized she was safe and no longer cast aside, her true personality began to shine. She is the sweetest, most gentle little velcro dog you could imagine. When she bonds with her person, she bonds with her whole heart. She just wants to be close — curled up beside you on the couch, quietly keeping you company, soaking in the love she’s always deserved. She’s doing well with potty training and is learning what it means to be a cherished house dog. Every day she grows more confident, more relaxed, and more trusting. Sabrina isn’t asking for much — just a warm lap, a kind voice, and someone who will never make her feel forgotten again. In return, she’ll give you unwavering loyalty and the softest little shadow you’ve ever had. Could you be the forever she’s been waiting for? 💕
