This pup is the shelter’s very own Ziggy Stardust—a true “Starman”, adored by volunteers and friendly with other dogs. Bowie loooooooves water, doing zoomies around the yard, and tossing around toys. This dog arrived at the shelter emaciated with diarrhea and was unable to walk on leash, but we have seen her get more confident with every day! She is currently being monitored by our veterinary team as she tries to put on some weight before her spay surgery. She`s met other respectful dogs and done well!Interested adopters can reach out to animal.care@ventura.org as Zoey may be available to adopt soon!Rescue groups interested in helping Zoey, please reach out to vcar.rescue@ventura.org.
