Story
Our dog got pregnant and had 4 puppies, all of which we were able to rehome, except Zeke. I was reluctant to rehome him because he is very sweet and attached to me. Zeke was born on Nov 6, 2025, he is still fairly young. I hope to find him a family that will understand and love him. He is reactive to other dogs (barks but no bite), and someone that will give him a good daily routine. He has separation anxiety, and has been unable to potty in the indoor wee pad (very rarely has he done so) so he can do with more patience and training. Zeke is fast and loves walks/exercises. We love him very much. He will bark at first but softens up to sweetness and affection

Story
Meet Cinnamon — A Soft Spirit with a Quiet Spark Cinnamon who is a spayed female Pomsky is the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention… she draws you in. With her tender eyes and gentle, observant nature, she takes in the world thoughtfully, leaning in when she feels safe and offering the sweetest, most genuine affection. There’s a softness to her that feels both delicate and deeply sincere. At just one year old, Cinnamon was found in an abandoned house in Banning alongside her friends Sugar and Maxwell Smart, where they had been holding on since November 2025. Through uncertainty and change, Cinnamon stayed close to her little family, showing a quiet resilience and an unshakable bond with those she trusted most. She may be a bit shy at first, but give her a moment—and you’ll see her warmth unfold in the most beautiful way. The kind of love she gives feels earned, steady, and incredibly special. Cinnamon is ready for a home that will nurture her confidence, cherish her gentle heart, and show her that she’s safe forever. Tender. Thoughtful. Completely unforgettable. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org. Please note a Petfinder and Adoptapet Inquiry is not applying for the dog. You have to come to the event or send an email inquiry to our records email.

Story
Sunny was abandoned on a busy road near our rescue kennel. Volunteers scrambled to get her out of Harm’s way and brought her to safety. Sunny had no collar, chip or tags, and no one responded to our FOUND postings and posters. The local shelter is not taking in found dogs due to overcrowding, so with nowhere to go, Sunny is in the care of GSROC. She is a sweet and happy husky mix who wants to make friends. Typical of her breed, Sunny needs a family that will give her plenty of exercise to keep her active body and mind focused in healthy directions.

He loves playing with other dogs and once he warms up, he will solicit attention from people. You’ve really won him over when he asks for belly rubs and that won’t take long , if you give him a couple of minutes.  We’d love to get Winter in a home with another outgoing dog and a family that will continue to introduce him to more positive experiences and love on him.  Apply to adopt Winter at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html  March 7, 2026, 7:07 pm

While we know it's hard to adopt out 2 large dogs as a bonded pair, we hope you consider it** In the Great Gatsby, Jay would do anything for Daisy—and at Mutts in Need, our Jay is just as devoted. This 8-year-old, 76-pound gentleman was abandoned at a groomer alongside his favorite girl, Daisy, and he is every bit the loyal, steady partner she deserves.  Jay is a unique soul with a personality that truly makes a splash. While most Huskies are famously "allergic" to water, Jay is the rare exception—he absolutely loves romping around in a baby pool! Whether he’s splashing through a summer day or enjoying a brisk walk with Daisy, his zest for life is contagious. He has all the dignity of a senior dog mixed with the playful, goofy heart of a puppy. Despite the confusion of his past, Jay remains incredibly affectionate and gentle. He is a "one-dog" kind of guy who is perfectly content with Daisy by his side, making them the ultimate ready-made family for a lucky home. If you’re looking for a majestic, water-loving companion who comes with a lifetime of loyalty, Jay is ready to meet you. If you have room in your heart (and maybe a spot for a baby pool) for Jay—and hopefully his girl, Daisy—please apply at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html.  March 7, 2026, 7:07 pm
