Aurora is a beautiful 7 month old Pomsky Mix who is looking for the family she can call forever! Aurora was adopted as an 8 week old puppy, and as she grew, her family's landlord gave them an ultimatum because dogs were not allowed. Sadly, through no fault of her own, Aurora had to come back to Lovejoy. She is now back in our care and doing absolutely fantastic! Aurora is incredibly smart, loving, playful, and full of personality. She has so much love to give and is truly a wonderful young dog. Aurora is spayed, great with kids and other dogs, and would make an incredible companion for an active family. She would love a family who enjoys long walks, hiking, playing, adventures, and keeping her busy and engaged. Whether you have little ones or big kids, Aurora would love to be part of an active family where she can grow, learn, play, and be included in all the fun. She's only 7 months old, so she still has plenty of puppy energy and learning ahead of her—but she's smart, eager, and ready to take on her next chapter. Aurora didn't lose her home because of anything she did. She simply needs a family whose circumstances allow her to stay forever. We know this special girl is going to make someone an incredible lifelong companion. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. ADORABLE!!! Daiquiri is just a little compact cuuuute girl we rescued out of a high kill shelter simply because we could not leave her to an unknown future. This is one special girl that will steal your heart. Daiquiri absolutely loves her crate. It's her I feel safe place. She absolutely needs to be in a home with another dog. That is where she shines. This pup has been fantastic in her foster home, extremely house respectful and kind. She is independent and ez. She also loves her walks. She is about 10-11 months old weighs 33 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Ian Somerhalder is a medium-sized 25lb and 9-month-old Pomsky who is the kind of dog you meet once and immediately wonder how anyone could ever let him go. This boy is sweet, affectionate, and so easy to love. He is a little gentleman with people and great with kids, very friendly and kind-mannered. Around other dogs, his goofy side really comes out. He loves to play and have fun, especially when toys and treats are in the mix!! Ian is also a wonderful cuddler. He is not pushy for attention, but he loves being close to his people and soaking up every bit of affection you give him. Lap time is his favorite! Our staff absolutely adores him!! Ian was recently surrendered when his owner sadly could no longer keep him. After some time in foster care, he came to Shelter Hope and is now waiting for the family who will make him theirs for good. Ian is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his second chance. Hello! This is Fluffy and we're looking for her forever home! She's a 52 lbs., female, (we believe) Siberian Husky, with two different colored eyes, about 4 yrs old. Unfortunately, she was abandoned in our Uptown area but we found her and have been hard at work making sure she's 100% healthy. We got her all up to date on her vaccines and spayed. She does have epilepsy so she needs to go to a home that can give her medication twice a day, without fail, every 12 hours, and is on the urinary SO diet (prescription required). Her epilepsy medication makes her really hungry so she will take any opportunity to steal food off the counters/tables. She is a sweet girl and does well with small dogs. She can be protective of her space and food. We keep her separated at dinner time and keep a close eye on her when everyone is enjoying a bully stick or chicken foot. Nothing serious, she just growls to let everyone know to stay away. We would love to keep her but don’t have enough space.

I have had my baby since he was 8 weeks old, he is a loving, playful, energetic and curios little guy! He loves belly rubs, going for walks (must be on a leash or he wanders off), greeting you when you come home, and playing fetch with his toys or balls. He loves playing with kids, in fact the first time he got out of the yard, it was to play ball with the neighborhood kids who were outside playing; he is not aggressive with strangers or kids, bu the does not know how strong he is and when he jumps, he can unintentionally throw you off balance. My housing situation has changed, and I am uncertain of when I will be able to provide a stable and secure space for him, therefore I am forced with doing what is best for his wellbeing. Currently, he is on a leash 24/7 because there is no fence where he is located and the property is on a main street. Coming from having his own yard, this has taken toll on his mental health, and I need to find him a loving family who has the space he needs.
