Story
We love Lucas so much, but unfortunately with new responsibilities and work it’s not fair for him. He needs someone who can provide the time he needs. It breaks our hearts. We just want a good home for him. He is 2 years old. So friendly. We have 5 and 6 year old kids. He rarely barks and does not howl on ocassions we have heard him. He does love to dig so that’s like the only thing that he does, he is trained so he will let you know when he needs to go outside.

These pups are in Bristol, Connecticut too!

Story
Meet Jackson, a handsome adult (estimated age 4-7 years old) neutered male husky who is every bit as sweet as he looks! This boy weighs about 53 lbs (his fur makes him look bigger than he is!). Jackson has been in his New England foster home since October 2025, and we can't for the LIFE of us figure out why this amazing boy has not been adopted yet.   Jackson is a very sweet, friendly boy who loves his people and enjoys making new friends - human and canine alike! He loves kids, but we recommend older kids 8+ or dog savvy kids, as he may unintentionally knock over a small child. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Jackson can do a 1 week foster to adopt trial with an approved adopter so you can see how he settles in before committing to adoption. From Jackson's current foster:  "Jackson is a super nice, clean boy with flawless house manners. He has had no accidents and is not destructive at all. He's actually quite calm and extremely affectionate. His loving nature sets him apart -- he makes himself available for hugs and petting. He's been wonderful with the neighborhood children. Everyone is his friend. He's a sweet deserving dog who is going to make someone very happy." He is medically up to date, housebroken (both his current and prior foster report that he has not had a single accident in the house!), and crate trained. Apply to meet this good boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2517941##

Story
Meet Rose, a young (approx. 4 months old) spayed female husky mix!  Rose is currently in TN and is expected to arrive in CT on 6/27. We are accepting applications for her now!  Hey everyone! I’m Rose, the last Golden Girl still looking for my forever couch—I mean, home! I’ve got one blue eye, one brown eye, and about a million zoomies ready to share with my new family. I’m sweet, silly, and full of love, and I can’t wait to find my hooman. My foster says I'm a real gem! I am about 95% potty trained, and I'm learning fun stuff like sit, shake and down! My sisters all got adopted (yay for them!), so now it’s my turn to shine. If you want a fun, loyal, goofy best friend… pick me!Love,Rose Rose is medically up to date, spayed, mostly housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special pup today! Story
Meet Dasher, a super cute 6 month old male husky mix puppy, currently weighing about 47 lbs! We are unsure of breed mix, but isn't he 100% adorable?!  He is expected to grow to a large dog. Dasher and his 8 siblings (the Reindeer litter) were sadly dumped at one of our rescue partners in TN when they were about 3 weeks old, without their mom. The man who dumped them stated that it was an oops litter and that he did not want to deal with them. Although he had a rough start, you would never know it! Dasher is a super sweet, friendly boy who is so full of love! He is good with other dogs, people, and kids (not cat tested so we are unsure how he would do with cats). From Dasher's foster: "Dasher is winning over hearts everywhere he goes, we’re amazed we’ve even had had him for this long. His demeanor has changed so much since we got him 3.5 months ago. He’s spunky and loves to play, but is also happy snuggling up next to you on the couch and getting some belly rubs! This heatwave has been a shock for him, but he loves to keep cool with a tasty ice cube or two. He’s incredibly smart and we think a great fit for any home that can give him the exercise and play he needs but also a comfy place to lay his head." He is medically up to date (awaiting neuter appointment now that he is old enough), crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet Dasher today!
