Story
Chief is a five-year-old Pomsky with an irresistible charm and a heart full of love. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything—from family movie nights to backyard adventures. Chief’s favorite activities include short walks, chasing shadows as the sun sets, and tracking laser lights like it’s his personal mission. His green squeaky toy is his prized possession—throw it once, and you’ve got yourself a game of fetch on repeat! He’s equally happy cuddling on the couch or joining you on car rides, tongue out, enjoying the breeze. Chief is both house and crate trained, great with other dogs, and absolutely adores people—kids and adults alike. This energetic little companion thrives on attention and affection. He’d do best in a home where he can be in the middle of family life, getting plenty of playtime and love. If you’re looking for a playful, loving dog who will fill your days with laughter and energy—Chief is your guy.

Story
I adopted Leo from Lancaster puppies. He was born on May 26th 2025. Since the moment I bought him home he was such a calm and kind gentlemen. To name a few characteristics about him, he loves to play at the dog park where he became properly socialized. He gets the zoomies and runs extremely fast there. When Leo is not sprinting he spends his time hopping around. When home, he responds to the energy of his parent, whether that is sleeping or laying down he is always well behaved. The only flaw about Leo is that he does get anxious when his family is getting ready to leave the home, this causes him to urinate uncontrollably because of the anxiousness. Outside of his anxiousness, he is potty trained.

CALL DONT EMAIL 267-471-3000 Introducing Louie DePomsky — a name as charming as the pup himself! At 2.5 years old, Louie is the perfect mix of playful energy and mature companionship. With his fluffy coat, bright eyes, and signature Pomsky sass, Louie turns heads everywhere he goes. He’s got Husky smarts with a Pomeranian flair — always curious, often hilarious, and never short on personality. Louie loves to go on walks, play chase in the yard, and then flop down for a nap in the nearest sunny spot (or your lap, if you’re lucky). Louie is crate-trained, house-trained, and working on his leash manners. He’s eager to please and would thrive in a home that enjoys active play, consistent structure, and lots of affection. While Louie loves his people, he can be a bit selective with other dogs — a meet-and-greet is a must if there are furry siblings involved. He’d also do best in a home without very young children, simply because he prefers a calm environment. 🎒 Ready to bring some fluff, fun, and flair into your life? Louie DePomsky is waiting for his perfect match — is it you? Call Ambler Dog Rescue to discuss Louie 267-471-3000. Watch Louie LIVE https://www.facebook.com/ambler.dog.rescue/

Story
ABOUT ROCKET Rocket is a 1-year-old energetic pup looking for his adventure buddy! Sadly, he was abandoned on our property, so we don’t know much about his past, but one thing’s for sure, this pup loves life! Rocket is extremely social and affectionate, eagerly greeting everyone he meets with big hugs and a wagging tail. He’s playful, loves zooming around our fenced fields, chasing toys, and then curling up next to you for some well-earned snuggles. If you're looking for a hiking partner or an always-up-for-fun companion, Rocket might be your perfect match. He's been doing well with house and leash training since arriving with us, and he's proven to be a super sweet, active boy who thrives on attention and adventure. He has loved participating in our Doggy Day Out program too! Here's what our volunteers had to say about him: "I had a great day with Rocket. He’s such a friendly and playful pup! When I picked Rocket up from the shelter, he really lived up to his name, he came out hot! Rocket was very excited, jumping all over the place (lol), but he was very good in the car. He hopped in by himself and sat nicely in the back seat. We started the day with a long walk in the neighborhood. Rocket seemed to really enjoy it. He does pull a bit, but overall, he was really good. Rocket was pretty well-behaved in the house, he's very curious about everything and really loved playing with lots of toys. He can be mouthy and jumpy when he wants to play with you. It doesn’t hurt, he’s just an excited puppy who’s still learning and really wants to be loved. Rocket seemed to respond to “no” when corrected. When he wasn’t playing, Rocket enjoyed cuddling up by my legs and feet and getting petted. He loves getting lots of attention. Rocket is such a loving and well-behaved pup, and I hope he’s adopted soon!" - Zoe "Rocket is super sweet and friendly. He would thrive with someone who can handle his puppy energy! He jumped right into the car, enjoyed sticking his head out of the window, and laid down for the drive back. He explored everywhere on our walk, even after an hour! He seems to have a prey drive, trying to chase any wild animal (bird, squirrel, groundhog) we saw. He was very friendly toward another person we interacted with, he really enjoys attention!" - Jade **Due to Rocket's prey drive, he would do best in a home without cats or small animals. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
