Story
We prefer potential adopters to be within 1 hour drive of Claymont DE 19703. Oso (bear in Spanish), was surrendered because his original family could not provide him what he needed. We got “Oh so” and immediately made a vet appointment, we knew he needed to be neutered and dental surgery if his bloodwork was ok, so he was thoroughly checked and good to go. He is a totally different dog after 24 teeth were removed. I don’t think he notices his testies are gone, he is having so much fun chewing on bones, playing with toys and eating with no pain. He has the energy of a 5 year old dog, so not a typical low key senior dog. I would have named him Tigger bc he bounces so much. He just wants to be with his people. If foster mom is sitting, then Oso finds a spot close by to lay down. He loves to go on walks and car rides. He is crate trained too. He gets along with most of the other dogs, except a high energetic one yr old chi that's in everyone’s face. Oso has a very think coat so he will need to be brushed, and he loves it. His bark doesn’t match his size, you would think he was over 50 pounds if you heard his bark behind a closed door. He is very chatty so we will not home him in an apartment or condo. If you are interested in adopting this young at heart old man, please email us AOLanimalrescue@gmail.com. We do require a vet reference. If you do not have one we are willing to accept a family’s vet reference, with their permission.

Story
Vera is a 9 year old spayed female Pomeranian who weighs 16 pounds. She was surrendered to our care after her owner no longer wanted her and stated that she has always lived outside. Outside dogs adjust very well to living inside and she is enjoying all of the firsts like a nice bed, treats and getting brushed. Vera has tested well with other dogs, is as cute as a button and loves to be held. Story
Hello, my name is: BudDOB: 05/14/2020Weight: 17.4 lbsSex/Breed: Neutered male Pomeranian/Husky mixRescued From: Breeding kennelBud’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but this adorable little guy is finally ready for the happy ending he deserves. He came to All 4 Paws after being surrendered by a breeding kennel, carrying the weight of his past both physically and emotionally. His coat was painfully matted, and he had a wound on his nose caused by another dog. Confused, shut down, and unsure of the world around him, Bud needed time to heal. The first step was giving him relief from all those mats, and once his fur was shaved off, it was as if a weight had been lifted. Now that his nose has healed and his spirit is beginning to heal too, Bud is ready to find a forever family to call his own.Bud’s playful and curious personality is starting to shine! He’s friendly, frisky, and loves exploring the world around him. He has recently discovered the joy of chewing on Benebones and happily entertains himself with them. Bud enjoys stretching his legs outside and would do best with a securely fenced yard where he can roam freely, as he is still very uncomfortable walking on a leash. One thing Bud has made clear is that he loves the company of other dogs. Having spent much of his life around them, he takes comfort in their presence and will need a confident doggy pal in his new home to help show him the ropes. While he isn’t quite the type to seek out human attention yet, he has learned that affection feels pretty good and enjoys attention from his foster family.Bud is doing well with crate training and is making progress with house training. He rides nicely in the car and has even discovered that hanging out on the sofa is pretty nice. Bud has limited eyesight, which means he occasionally bumps into people or objects, especially in low light, but he navigates his surroundings well once he becomes familiar with them.Bud is looking for a patient, understanding family who will celebrate every little victory as he continues to gain confidence. In the right home, Bud is sure to blossom into the wonderful companion he was always meant to be!
