A true water enthusiast and a bit of a Houdini-style escape artist, Onyx is a high-energy Doggy Date candidate who is just as happy splashing in a creek as he is being your personal 80-pound cuddlebug. While he’s mastered his basic commands, he’s a "PG-13" kind of pup who requires older children and an experienced handler ready to continue his training and manage his strong prey drive. Because Onyx prefers to be the center of your universe, he’s looking to be your only best friend with 4 legs in the home - strictly feline-free and away from farm animals. He’s a bit of a toy connoisseur and prefers not to share his treasures, so he’s best may be best suited as your one-and-only pet or with someone willing to work on his tendency to guard his toys like a dragon with his treasures. Though he’s house-trained and ready for a sleepover trial, he’ll need a secure environment to keep his inner escape artist in check. He was a velociraptor in a former life and likes to test the fence perimeter security, and can jump over anything lower than 6 feet.
