Story
Meet Onyx, a big-bodied, goofy-hearted Husky who is living proof that "lap dog" is a state of mind, not a size. This talkative guy has plenty to say and won’t hesitate to woo-woo his way into your heart—especially if you have a treat in your hand. A true water enthusiast and a bit of a Houdini-style escape artist, Onyx is a high-energy Doggy Date candidate who is just as happy splashing in a creek as he is being your personal 80-pound cuddlebug. While he’s mastered his basic commands, he’s a "PG-13" kind of pup who requires older children and an experienced handler ready to continue his training and manage his strong prey drive. Because Onyx prefers to be the center of your universe, he’s looking to be your only best friend with 4 legs in the home - strictly feline-free and away from farm animals. He’s a bit of a toy connoisseur and prefers not to share his treasures, so he’s best may be best suited as your one-and-only pet or with someone willing to work on his tendency to guard his toys like a dragon with his treasures. Though he’s house-trained and ready for a sleepover trial, he’ll need a secure environment to keep his inner escape artist in check. He was a velociraptor in a former life and likes to test the fence perimeter security, and can jump over anything lower than 6 feet. If you’re looking for a loyal, vocal, and hilarious companion to fill your home with personality, Onyx is ready to clock in as your new best friend.

Story
I rescued Diva in 2019. She is a sassy girl. She was the best running partner I ever had. She loves to play, she needs to be walked, and talked to. She is not as vocal as most huskies. She loves to play with other dogs and would do well in a pack with other huskies or any breed that likes to play. She also wouldn’t mind being the “diva” of the house. We work a lot and she is left alone which is not fair as she requires a lot of social interaction and requires much physical exercise. We have 2 acres, but she needs purpose. She loves to go for runs, but walks will do. She is almost 10, but still acts like a puppy. Diva saved me and this decision is very difficult, I believe she needs an owner that has experience with strong minded breeds. She is the perfect dog when she get the interaction she needs. She is very emotional. If you have had a husky, you understand. She doesn’t like to be confined. If she gets bored she will act out.

Story
Meet the shelter’s very own "Central Park" duo! Gloria, a spirited 2-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix, and Melman, a charmingly awkward 5-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix, are a package deal of goofiness just like their Madagascar namesakes. Whether they’re navigating the "wilds" of the play yard or just trying to figure out where their long legs are supposed to go when they sit, these two are guaranteed to keep you laughing with their quirky personalities and endearing clumsiness. Gloria brings that classic youthful energy and vocal Husky charm, while Melman provides the slightly more seasoned, "worried-but-happy" vibe that makes him so lovable. They balance each other out perfectly—where one goes, the other is sure to follow, usually with a wagging tail and a look of pure confusion about what’s happening next. They are a true pair of best friends who find comfort and confidence in being together, making them a ready-made family for anyone looking to double the love. If your home has enough room for two big hearts and a lot of goofy antics, Gloria and Melman are ready to "move it, move it" right into your life. They are looking for an adopter who appreciates the unique bond of a bonded pair and is ready for a lifetime of awkward cuddles and double the tail wags.

Story
Brownie is a 2 year old female! She is a lovable, full of energy, cuddly, and trainable pup. She is a very kind dog especially around young humans (pregnant women, infants, babies, and toddlers)! Absolutely loves other dogs and loves her occasional tennis ball. She loves to cuddle in close then when she feels like her tank is full she will go lay on the floor. She has been in training for a service animal for the past couple months, so she is house trained and crate trained perfectly. She has been working on leash training and medical response. So if you ever find yourself crying, she is there to lick your tears and cuddle! She is your perfect addition to your family!

Story
Mia was born December 20, 2024. A friend of mine from high school was fostering her mom. My friend was about to be homeless so we took in the last 2 puppies for her. We were hoping to keep them but they fight so much it’s dangerous. Mia is a lovable, sweet, and protective dog. She loves to cuddle. She loves belly rubs, and lots of attention. It breaks my heart we have to find a new home for her. It is not safe, or fair for either dog for us to keep her. She can be very hyper since they have been kept in small room/create to keep the dogs safe, and separate. She does jump a lot in case you have litter ones. Just wanted to give you a warning She has been around cats when she was first born and was ok with them. She is good with my moms dog, but not with our other dog.Adoption fee to make sure goes to safe and loving home, and transfer microchip. I am hoping whoever adopts her will let us keep in touch because it is really breaking my heart. To have to give her up.

Story
Tala is a beautiful 6-year-old Husky mix searching for a forever home of her own. She is spayed, up to date on all veterinary care, and ready to start her next chapter. Tala is a sweet, affectionate girl whose favorite place is right by her person’s side. She forms strong bonds with her people and thrives on companionship, making her an excellent match for someone looking for a loyal best friend. Talah would do best in a home without children. While she has previously been labeled as a dog who needed to be an only pet, we’ve learned more about her during her time with us and believe she may be able to live successfully with a calm, relaxed dog when given proper, slow introductions and time to build a positive relationship. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will happily share her love, loyalty, and adventures with you, Talah may be the perfect fit. She is ready to find the person she can call her own and spend her years surrounded by love.

Story
Our hope is to find a beautiful new home/family for our Siberian Husky Mix, Onyx (even though he looks like a lab lol). He’s the smartest, sweetest boy who loves to spends most of his day happily hanging out with you. We adore him, but with our move to an apartment that doesn’t allow dogs his size, we’re left with no other option. We’re just looking for someone who can give him all the love he deserves.
