Miss Trixie Dixie came to the rescue severely malnourished and had tons of missing fur. she is on the mend and looking great now. She is on a special food since she has food allergies. Trixie listens well, loves going on walks. She loves calm. Trixie has appt to get spay and her cherry eyes fixed at the end of december.

If interested please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting.    Mae is a 4 year old, Husky/Pit mix.(DNA tested) who is very friendly, good with all people including other dogs, and children. We do not reccommend Mae around cats, rabbits, and smaller critters. She has put a dent in the local oppossum numbers. Mae is a happy girl and has a lot of energy, but settles and cuddles as well during down time. Mae knows some commands like sit and shake (her favorite.) She loves playing under sheets and blankets. She has participated in petting events at Purdue and does very well with strangers and is gentle taking treats. She would do well with another dog in the home. She is a puller on leash, but getting better. She is good in the car. She would thrive in a fenced yard.  Mae is a very sweet, medium sized dog weighing about 50 pounds. She is house trained and crate trained. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.    Theia is a 10 year old Siberian Husky. She has lived with the same family since she was a puppy. Through no fault of her own and due to unfortunate circumstances, she is needing a new home or foster ASAP. Theia is a great dog and has loved swimming in Lake Michigan, going on adventures, and has been an excellent hiking buddy. Theia has lived with other dogs, cats, and children. She is good with everyone.  Theia is solidly house trained and trustworthy to be left out when alone. Theia has a sense of adventure and will run off if given the opoprtunity in typical husky fashion. It's important that she has an owner committed to leashing her or a fenced yard.  still will take an opportunity to run if given the chance so ideally needs a fenced yard or someone who will commit to leashed walks. Theia iwas raised with another dog that is also looking for a home if you may be interested in both dogs. (Drogo, age 8, Norwegian Elkhound.) They are friends, but not exceptionally bonded.  Theia is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on preventatives.
