Just like something tiny and tender pushing its way toward the sunshine, Asparagus is beginning to blossom. 💚
Asparagus is a 2-year-old female Pomeranian weighing just 10 pounds who came to us from the recent Adair County hoarding case involving more than 200 dogs. When she first arrived, she was absolutely terrified. Her skin needed time to heal, but her little heart needed healing, too.
And she has come SO far. ❤️ Her skin is healing beautifully, and the frightened little dog who once wanted nothing to do with being touched will now allow you to pick her up and hold her. For a dog who hasn’t always known that human hands can be kind, that’s a pretty big deal.
Asparagus isn’t going to walk into a new home and instantly understand how to be a family dog. She needs a patient, gentle adopter who will give her time to learn that she’s safe and loved. Another friendly, confident dog in the home would be wonderful for her and help show her the ropes. A securely fenced yard is a must for this little girl while she continues gaining confidence.
She doesn’t need someone to rush her. She needs someone willing to celebrate the little victories — the first time she comes to you on her own, the first tail wag, the first time she curls up beside you because she chooses to. 🥹

All rescues at FairyTails are fully ready to join your family! Our PETS come to you dewormed, fully vetted, spayed/neutered, dental exam, heart worm tested, flea/tick and heartworm monthly preventative, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, bathed and professionally groomed!
They are housed either in foster homes or in house at our facility in warm, spacious suites, with plenty of food, water, toys and attention.
